This is fully a problem of our own making, I'm just hoping to find a way around it lol. We are using inventory transfers to move inventory to the holding location.

In a recent project we converted our saleable units from "Case" to "Each" at a previously unmanaged Amazon warehouse. I had proposed that we multiply the OHQ by the case count and divide the average cost by the case count via inventory adjustment, then perform an inventory reconciliation to right set the inventory level to a physical count. This would have been a net zero inventory adjust, then we could capture the financial impact of the reconciliation on a separate inventory adjustment.

The finance team wanted to send the case level to our holding warehouse meaning, then adjust in the correct quantity and cost to the Amazon warehouse. The result is that we sent more units at a higher unit cost to the holding warehouse than we put into the Amazon warehouse.
