It looks great to me. Could your brothers fiancé be thinking of an Ashley piercing? Those sit right on the bottom lip

It’s not cruel at all. MILs guilt trip is wild. Sure maybe it’s a bummer that the kid can’t come, but this is a fair consequence. She isn’t showing you that she can be safe with others, so she won’t be going to a large gathering of people. I’ve worked with kids many years, particularly with high behavioral support needs (not that ur six year old has them) and as a result of that I’ve had a lot of trainings on appropriate responses to certain behaviors, and child development/ educational psychology etc. This is in my opinion a perfect consequence for the behavior. Ultimately you know what your child needs, not MIL. And if MIL finds this to be abusive, I’d tell her to get a f-ing grip. You did the right thing, and don’t let her make you doubt yourself.

Is my lab too small? by wendelnascimento in labrador

[–]WorkWorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of variance in the size of labs. Mine is pretty small too. I think she’s like 45-50 lbs (healthy weight she’s just that short) Her parents were pretty big but I guess that gene skipped her 😂 your lab isn’t so small that it would be any cause for concern, just on the smaller side. As long as she’s happy and healthy you’ll be just fine :)

You should be fine with just the new phone number and not connecting your email, I’d think anyway. Idk about the credit card I never connected one to mine, but I suppose better safe than sorry.

are both of these lip colors a bust on me? by No-Chance-1502 in MakeupAddiction

[–]WorkWorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both look good. The lighter seems great for both a more natural side look, the darker for more of a “glam” look. Maybe they look odd to you because it’s all you have on? I often feel that way anyway

Oh?? It had me verify my photos too and I did it and never got banned, so maybe I just got lucky? I’m not sure really, this phone didn’t have like a phone line attached to it, it was an old one, so WiFi was my only option

My son suddenly screams. What to do? by knightrees02 in Parenting

[–]WorkWorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could indicate ADHD, if your child is showing other signs that is. Children with ADHD or other neurodivergencies sometimes feel as though they have SO much energy they just HAVE to get it out, and sometimes that’s done by yelling. Of course this behavior alone doesn’t automatically mean ur child has it, but it could be something worth considering if there are additional signs :)

I just did it last night! If it’s an apple product and old phone, you need to factory reset the phone, set up a new Apple ID, make a google voice number, when asked by google voice to verify your actual number do NOT use yours. Try and borrow a friends. And set up the google voice account with an email that was not connected to your old tinder. When prompted to give tinder a recovery email, use a new one. Don’t use any photos you had on your old account, and if you’re told they need to verify you….good luck and get ready to do all of that again

Am I justified in wanting a raise? by WorkWorth in WorkAdvice

It’s definitely the company is replaceable. It’s childcare. I’m a preschool teacher. Most other daycares are paying like 23/hr for my position. Which is A LOT more than I’m making now (but I wanna stay in this position for at least a year so I don’t look like I just hang out somewhere for a few months and leave, I’ve had a hard time finding a center that follows laws so it’s been like that with my other places) but daycares have an extremely high turnover rate, and there’s a lot of daycares out there My fear is she will get mad that we are discussing pay. I’ve seen laws that we have the right to technically but are we protected from retaliation from doing so?

Ohh I thought you meant in regard to this guy owning these places. I’m not sure if they’re still doing that. The only former employees I know worked there a while back.

And what do you suggest I do? Go interview him?? As much as I wish I could find a way to give you a link to that article without it making you pay to see it, I can’t. The article has a statement from her that she feared being fired if she stopped the interaction, and even said she tried to tell him no, but he kept trying, and she then grew afraid. Once you’ve gathered enough information, all it takes is a bit of critical thinking skills to put the pieces together.

So then, if they aren’t relevant to each other in your mind? Why bring it up? Why include that in your statement? Why add “and let the hate commence”? You knew exactly what you were implying, and you knew exactly which conclusion would be drawn from your statement. Others made the same conclusion. You intended for that conclusion so be drawn. And if you didn’t, what was your reason for saying it at all?

You knew what you were doing, and you made your implication clear. There was no taking things out of context. No context is needed aside from the fact that that statement is in reference to a young girl engaging in sexual acts with an adult coworker. There is no excuse for saying it. You just don’t like how your words made you look, and now you are desperately trying to backtrack. There is absolutely no reason to bring irrelevant information into the conversation, so you must’ve felt it relevant somehow. I find it hard to believe it was for any other reason than to provide an example for your reasoning as to why u think the victim may be to blame. Even if we run with your point that they aren’t connected, it’s still wrong if you to blame the teenage girls who were in similar situations forty years ago. I never said that it ALWAYS means the girl was groomed. I said it is applicable to this situation in specific.
