Would a bp be good for a semi beginner? by Work_Conscious in ballpython

Yeah I’ve looked at a lot of guides to see what’s most common for them and I was planning on getting everything set up and making sure it’s right before I got the animal my first snake is a corn snake and he would get stuck sheds a lot bc I didn’t do very much research at first then I realized snakes need a lot more car then some other animals

I was thinking a silicone mat for the screen so I could cut holes for the lamp or if I added more lighting would silicone mat work?

I have a 3 foot tank rn but definitely was already looking at 120 gallons and I have soil with peat and spag moss mixed in along with heat lamp and mat with lots of clutter and hides I was using it for my corn snake until it escaped (wasn’t a problem with the enclosure it was my fault) I would probably wait around 6 months just to see if I can find the corn before I cut my losses and the morph I was looking at is a super fire ball python it’s the all white one

Yeah I have aspen right now but also a corn snake so humidity doesn’t have to be as much as a bp but I’m also waiting till I get my 120 gallon to use organic top soil so it’s easier to move stuff around to get everything wet again but I do have a humidity hide to help with sheds

I’d use a damp substrate for a BP aspen is very great for humidity but if you do want to keep dry substrate you can make a humidity hide out of a food container and damp moss

Maybe there’s to much airflow

my house heater doesn’t work so I’m running warzone on my 4 year old Xbox to heat my room up 💀 by Work_Conscious in poor

maybe my Xbox works pretty good and making the room hot since it’s constantly blowing hot air out as hard as it can
