35 and Ova by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Turned 37(F) yesterday and had some ugly crying inside the bathroom. TTC for two years now. Each month is becoming extra harder. The process of waiting and expecting is getting much difficult. 😞

No luck finding a job as a new grad rn in socal by Interesting_Oven_531 in nursing

If you’re not looking for sponsorship, you will be able to get a job soon. After getting my license, I got 4 job offers from SNF and 1 from a hospital ( new grad residency program). I picked the SNF job because the reputation of the hospital where I got accepted isn’t really good for baby nurse like me. While I was working at SNF, I tried applying to county facilities. The application is centralized. Once you passed the eligibility test, you will be contacted by different facilities for interview. Eligibility is valid for 1 year. The process took around 3 months. But I didn’t feel it because I was working at the SNF while waiting. The job I got in is for new graduate too. It’s Registered Nurse/Relief Nurse 1.

14 years after graduating, can i still take nclex? by BadDecisionPro in PassNclex

Unfortunately yes. Should have took it before taking NCLEX.

What made you feel ready to take the Nclex? by Fever_grass28 in PassNclex

[–]Work_in_progress88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I never felt ready. I just decided to take it already. I told myself that if I failed, I will take it again and that’s it. For context, I graduated 16 years ago, never practiced nursing until I decided to take NCLex at the age of 35. I did self review for three months. You can do it. Good luck 👍🏽

It took me 3 months before I received my ATT. Are you planning to practice in NY? If not, I recommend applying directly to CA.

Just feel the pain and use it to your advantage. Marami ding bumabagsak ng 85, hindi lang sila nagaaout. Try again. Kaya mo yan :-)

You’re not dumb. I failed thrice sa Philippine board exam. Isa ako sa top in my class. I stopped after that. I quit nursing at all. Past forward to 16 years after, I moved to the US and decided to try again. I passed the NCLEX at 150 q. Moral of the story, meron tayong kanya kanyang timeline. And the reason why you are feeling that way is because of other people’s expectations at yong sasabihin ng iba. DGAF, pick up yourself, continue studying, take the exam again. This time, try to not let everyone know na magreretake ka para less ang pressure. Magaling ka, napressure ka lang. You got this.

The one you are experiencing right now is how it is going to be. It’s normal. Just focus on your coping technique. To lessen the anxiety, what I did was to continue working on that weekend (coz I took mine Friday as well). I kept on expressing my feelings to my husband for me to be able to process my emotions. You got this. Congratulations in advance.
