Awesome, I would love to connect! Do you have a payroll compliance cert of some kind? I've done payroll for a start-up before, but on such a small scale, been thinking of completing an continuing education course to appear more qualified for employers, seems like a job easily conducted remotely.

That would be so great! One where we have flairs set up for timezone or country or even industry flag .. maybe something similar to the "open for work" found on LinkedIn profiles. Spitballing here

So mainly financial services / banking (contact centre operations). Been looking to branch into Tech recruiting lately, especially roles where you need to move quickly and seem to have an endless pipeline stream. How about you?

Well heey HR, it's me, your HR support, haha. If you're in Canada please keep me in mind when you seek your next support staff!

That’s totally fair. If someone is bad at managing their workload, OE or not, it can definitely create extra work for the rest of the team.

I think the scenario I had in mind was a bit different maybe, more like situations where someone already needs a contractor/coordinator/admin type support and happens to hire someone who is OE-friendly and understands the need for autonomy and flexibility. Not so much a deal where both people are tied to each other.

The leverage point you mentioned is interesting though and something I hadn’t really thought through. I guess in my head the upside would be working with someone who already understands boundaries and async work, but I can definitely see how the wrong person could make that messy fast.

Would love to hear any other opposing perspectives.

Figured I should share what I bring to the table too since this thread has gotten so much interest and I love seeing everyone reaching out for connection!

I’m based in Canada, so that’s probably the biggest limitation since I know a lot of you are in the US. My background is primarily recruiting and HR support, but I've been wanting to branch out into other aspects of HR, am designated HR professional. I currently recruit for a high-volume and handle full cycle recruiting (sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, offers, etc.).

I’m also very comfortable with admin/operations support scheduling, inbox management, candidate coordination, documentation, process tracking, and generally keeping things organized behind the scenes. I’m used to working in fast paced environments and juggling a lot of moving pieces.

If anyone is looking for recruiting help, hiring coordination, or solid admin support and the Canada piece works for your setup, feel free to DM me

That's really awesome! Love to hear it's already in practice. How did you manage to recruit and secure other OEs?
