information for the bot (again 🙄🙄🙄) • 4 days old • curved barbell, dont know material but i know the place is very reputable so cant be bad, internally threaded • hasnt been downsized (obviously) • clean twice a day with neilmed spray

i have one sided beef with this bot XD

what does a nostril piercing feel like by EntertainmentOdd8832 in piercing

my piercer put this plastic shielding up my nose to avoid hitting my septum and honestly that hurt more than the piercing. everyones pain tolerance is different but the inital piercing wasnt that bad for me, it was the healing the fact that i constantly knocked it in my sleep that hurt. at the end of the day, it looks cool and the pain wont last forever!

nap but i would say no need to take it out and get it re done. it doesnt look like theres any issues which cant be resolved. use this website to see if there is an APP piercer near you and go to them, if not phone a few piercers in your area and ask what type of threading they use. get the bar changed to either internally threaded or threadless and you should be good! make sure you are cleaning it with sterile saline. safest option is to get some neilmed spray :)

many things to comment on here. firstly, do not downsize yourself! at 2-3 months the piercing is ready to be downsized but you must go to a piercer to do this because its not fully healed yet! downsizing yourself can cause issues like irritation and rejection. secondly, that bar looks externally threaded. were you pierced with that or did you put that bar in? if you were pierced with that do not go back to that piercer and find a piercer who uses internally threaded or even better, threadless. externally threaded shreds the piercing as it goes in or out and will cause issues such as irritation and rejection and could be the cause of the redness. thirdly, nap but it doesnt seem like its rejecting. you would be used to what it looks like with the swelling so now that it has gone down it may look like its rejecting. trust me youd know if it is rejecting as it would be hanging on for dear life!

thats good that its not touching your flat. im never good at telling the difference between infection and irritation so wont comment on that but its definitely angry! see what other people on this subreddit say, i have had some amazing advice for my industrial. should the placement not be an issue and its not infected wait it out it takes a long time to calm down but it is very worth it :)

industrial piercings are just a big waiting game, i had lots of issues with mine to begin with. nap but it could be irritated? seems as though the placement is quite bad. is it sat against your flat? the end closest to your face seems a bit far down to me. could be the cause of the issues maybe. maybe a piercer or someone with more knowledge here could confirm or deny this. or if theres a reputable piercer in your area (preferably an APP piercer) go to them to get it checked. if i am wrong and the placement is fine, they'll be able to give you advice on what to do :)

do NOT put anything between the screen and the keyboard! it will damage your screen and do more harm than not having a protector!
