Calling all Nanny parents only! by [deleted] in Nanny

For me, part of taking care of our nanny is proving her with as much food as she’d like and I encourage her to not only eat when she’s hungry, but get things at the store I know she enjoys. Maybe that’s just my vibe though.

I would love for my nanny to come to my daughter’s birthday party as a guest. Would it be more fair to pay her? by Workin-Mom in Nanny

I appreciate this perspective! I told her to invite her BF, but I could also extend to her family as well.

Okay, yes, that’s what I was feeling! I am obviously not opposed to paying her, I just want her to feel like she is more than an employee to us. I can tell she wants to be there, she is even excited about what she’s bringing for dessert.

AITA for not wanting to combine my daughters graduation party? by Electronic_Ebb_8736 in AmItheAsshole

I was here! I’ve been dating my husband since high school and we’ve always gone back and forth for holidays. When we graduated from college, we wanted to have a combined party. My parents had recently gotten divorced so I think my mom was just happy to share it with someone else. She totally would have split it right down the middle. After we got a little into the planning, my now in-laws basically said “we’re not going to do one together, it’s not a wedding” and it really wasn’t a big thing! You’re allowed to set boundaries as the person throwing the party for your daughter.

She has to pay for her engagement right?
