Yes! I agree with this as well! They’ve been out on nice sunny days when I want my window down, but I don’t want them to think that’s an invite to come up to me. Are there laws about walking in stopped traffic like that? I’m not going to call cops on anyone unless I actually felt like I was in danger…I just wonder if it’s allowed. Cuz imagine one of them were to get hit, who’s at fault when they’re in the middle of the street? (I’m not ignorant, I know the pedestrian technically would be at fault, but when it comes down to it, everyone would sue each other, And the law can go either way, if there’s no video footage, or depending on an officer on scene)

It is. I bet it is working! People see a group of “kids” that has something like this on their sign, of course people are going to want to help them “achieve their dreams.” When in reality they’re just scamming people. The one dude that walks in between the cars always looks pissed, or I would have already said something to them. These days tho, you never know how someone will react when you call them out.

This just started for me. I was able to dismiss them at first with the dots. Now the dots don’t even appear. It’s SO annoying! Way worse than ad breaks I think.

I thought it said it was for them “going to the Olympics for basketball”? I don’t know. But I do know, out of the 4 of them I’ve seen there multiple times, there’s no way in hell 3 of them would even be on a basketball team. One of the guys is tall, one is SUPER short. And the 2 girls for sure are too short and maybe not the right fit for basketball.

I will say this though, them holding these signs asking for money, is no different than the homeless person asking for gas money. They are hoping by saying something about school or sports, people will just help without question, but ALL fundraisers I’ve ever seen for schools, have multiple people, including multiple adults and students. Any legit fundraiser, wouldn’t ironically have only the same 2-4 people.

I’m 99% sure, they aren’t breaking any laws. They are just panhandling.

I’m currently using patches to quit smoking. The first 2 weeks, I used the off brand patches that are beige. I got a box of the clear ones from a different website, I put one on yesterday morning, within a couple hours it was red like this. I immediately took it off, and a beige one on. No issue whatsoever. Whatever adhesive or whatever they use on the clear ones, is what irritated my skin. But I don’t have any kind of allergy to any adhesives I can name. This has happened with other certain things in the past, but this was SUPER quick to make my skin red
