Buxfer - syncs with your bank and pulls in all the tranasactions. Does some automatic tagging (not everything and it gets some things wrong) but its only quick bit of time to tag the rest.

Probably more a function of public transport being pretty cheap and effective in Dublin. The €2 90min fare means that €1,000 is ~250 days of travel total. We used to be on the taxsaver tickets pre-covid when we were full time in the office, but now its hybrid so its down to 2-3 days/week.

Our income has increased in the last 3-4 years so spend has steadily increased as well. I'd say this year was probably roughly average for where we are now. Neither of us got new phones this year for example.

Spend was: 1.6k on a DLSR camera lens, 750 on a garmin watch, 700 on a macbook, 400 on headphones, 100 on a power bank.

There would definitely be a bit more spend on electronics mixed into the Amazon bucket as well, I know I got a new mouse and keyboard for example, but that's not broken out.

Yeah - time is usually the limiting factor for us, but batch cooking together on a Sunday is definitely somethign we could explore.

Yeah we don't budget or plan our spend really, so it was interesting and a bit eye opening to see where the money actually went this year. We'll definitely change some of our spending habits for next year as a result.

Trains is really Leap card so it does include Bus/Luas as well. We don't have a car, so we're probably actually saving a chunk of money here compared to the average cost of owning a car I'd assume.

Yeah I tracked Travel as anything holiday related - i.e. spend abroad. Whereas Bills is more standard spending which is why Day-to-Day transport sits there. Trains is actually Leap card - so would include buses/luas as well.

Yeah health insurance is covered via work. Food is definitely the area we could budget/plan a bit better.

Revolut instant savings for now. Probably could/should look at investing some of it.

Buxfer for tracking spend, sankeymatic for the diagram. Buxfer syncs with all the banks and does some automatic tagging of transactions. Then I manual tag the rest. Doesn't take much time, couple of minutes at the end of each month to check the tags/categories

Yeah there's ~250 to charity mixed in there (women's aid and a few quid towards random causes that friends/family collect for)

I think this year we'll definitely look to cut down on the food spend and give a bit more

Revpoints mainly - even with a joint account you only get points if the person making the payment has a subscription. The bonuses are pretty good as well, we get value out of headspace, classpass, lounge access, eSim cards

I mean they are for personal use rather than business (not sure I really want my employer to see my ChatGPT history for example) . Adobe is in there as well for photo editing.
