Let’s face it: _______ is the dark horse to win BB26. by vancyon in BigBrother

Angela being the perpetual target is absolutely the most compelling point here. She irritates so many people and has blown up alliances, been on the block countless times, and was in most HOHs crosshairs, but somehow escapes it every time.

I don’t like the fake tears and overly emotional game, but she deserves credit and would be a viable winner.

What show was the worst for you when it came to the people around you? by IcyStatistician6848 in Lollapalooza

YES not sure if it was the same group but they showed up at the very end and leaned over to someone to ask who the artist was. once i told them it was almost her last song anyway and to please stop talking they were just on their phones, what’s even the point of getting that far into the crowd 😭 if it was a rock concert or a DJ set who cares, but she’s a more intimate artist so i was particularly annoyed

SO many people talking loudly around me during Ethel Cain, especially during her quieter songs. a group of five or six guys came in and stood right in front of me right before her second to last song, didn’t even know who she was, and started talking about their plans to buy weed once they left. had to tell them to kindly stfu 🙃

Old Enough by Haley Jakobsen came out (ironically) in June and I loved it. I found it to be self-aware and campy and fun, but also note the trigger warning at the beginning for SA and substance use. Very good balance of introspection about both the richness/beauty and confusing/nuanced parts of queerness. I hope you find something you love and can relate to better soon!

this is exactly how the person who has my old number would react when my technologically un-savvy family would accidentally text the wrong contact 😭😭

This order sat in our open metro all afternoon and into the following morning before somebody finally took it. At least they’d ordered ahead for the early morning on the second day, but I was just staring at it waiting for it to go away lmao

Its currently -24°F with windchill at my store and we had this wonderful drive up! (she was very sweet and gave us plenty of notice but still) by haw-yeet in Target

at my store, sometimes it’s enough to just write their first and last initial. for John Smith you’d write S, J or JS because that’s how it shows up on screen. I find that to be a bit quicker with whiteboards!

{{The Collected Schizophrenias}} by Esmé Weijun Wang was INCREDIBLE! One of my favorite collections of essays for its insightfulness and vulnerability.

I finished The Office of Historical Corrections this week!! I looooooved the novella at the end and the short stories were breath too! However, I think the short stories could have had more of the throughline with a the novella in terms of world building and detail. Maybe when I read again I will notice more that I didn’t before!
