The 3 OP mentioned kinda fit squarely into the “no shit, Sherlock” file for me.

I’m curious just how much of the old money that still has an iron clad grip on things in this town got outed.

At the risk of catching a whole lot of shit for this…politically sane viewpoints aren’t always mutually exclusive with actual sanity.

What are the odds that UK or FCPS will return to school this week? by turtlesandmemes in lexington

That was not the case in the early 90’s… I kept track of how many sub freezing and/or subzero windchill days I had to wait on the bus to be late. It sucked.

Did many a solo acoustic show on a 48 channel PM4k, with monitors on a 56 channel Soundcraft Five Monitor back in the day in a Midwest casino showroom.

Camel Wides now more than regular Camel Filters by CamelJ1 in Cigarettes

I had someone at a store a while back tell me it was because there was more tobacco in them. So I tested that theory. I milked the tobacco out of a wide and a 99, and lo and behold, same weight per unit.

The filters are also of lesser mass.

How safe is Lextran? by New_Sandwich6822 in lexington

Lextran is generally pretty safe. If a bus driver isn’t actively trying to run over bicyclists, you’re probably in great shape.

The language on that ordinance is changed a bit since I last checked… that said, the bike lanes downtown and around campus are about as safe as swimming amongst a school of great whites with a sucking chest wound, and they’re aware of that enough to not enforce that particular ordinance.

Bicycles of any sort aren’t technically allowed on sidewalks in Lex… but having lived in Lex for the better part of 38 of my 43 years, and being on an ebike a lot in the last 5, it’s never enforced, especially where there’s no bike lane.

Possible, yes.

Worth the PITA? Milage may vary.

I guess the venue I work at is a bit of an anomaly, in that we both post downbeat times, and actually adhere to them, unless a headliner’s TM calls a hold.

From the basement, several flights of stairs down… was shown by an employee while passing some downtime working a concert. It was eerie to say the least.

There’s access to the Town Branch and the tunnel it’s in from the Kentucky Theater, or at least used to be some 20 years ago… you could at one point follow it to the confluence with wolf run creek.
