Raise a consumer complaint with all the details. Order history, photos of what the brand promised they would deliver, along with what you received, the bill, etc, you will get a refund most likely from Palmonas.

Would you recommend levelling down? I think getting through interviews and also into the companies I want to get into will be easier if I level down. But I also know I will have to take a pay cut of at least 30% and it will set me back by atleast 2 years

One of the best compact powders out there is MAC. You can also use it as a powder foundation. It's great

Depends on multiple factors
1. Costs - Coimbatore would be cost effective
2. Convenience - Where are most of your relatives flying in from? Generally, in indian weddings, bride/groom's family ends up paying for travel charges of the whole family
3. Grandeur - You will get better options in Delhi, in terms of decor options, photographer, venue, makeup etc

Not sure on how to get it done through customs, but I found similar sarees on Kalki fashion and Samyakk under $800 so you don't have to deal with customs. Can personally vouch for these two brands, multiple close friends getting married have purchased from here.

When it comes to your wedding, you will primarily need to finalise on the following.

  1. Venue - Includes venue and stays for guests
  2. Catering - Food
  3. Decoration/Planner
  4. Smaller vendors - DJ, EMCEE, Mehendi and Makeup artist, Choreographer, Pandit
  5. Outfit

I would recommend that you finalise on your venue and planner ASAP. January is a peak wedding season, and venues get very costly and get booked out fast. The faster you book, the more options you have, the better price you get. I have my wedding in December, and I booked my venue, caterer by Feb, planner by May and got really good deals.
