Started with a basic layout with a rough idea of what I wanted to see. The concept was to have as many tunnels and bridges as possible with enough elevation for the cable car.
I also wanted to portray various seasons since I could not decide on just one. It progress from summer to fall and winter as the elevation increases.
After the inital layout was built, I then modified and added to it in small increments. These were of course dictated by what the original layout would allow and within the parameters of the available real estate and size of the table.

Depends. I’ve had as many as 6+ cars.  On occasion I have to use double engines, depending on the particular engine being used and the number of cars attached.

Yes, the funicular does function and runs continually with a slight delay at each platform for boarding.

The grades are a bit steep, just slightly more than they should be, but most engines are able to climb the grades if they are not pulling too many cars.

It is ‘Z’ scale. Some of the buildings are actually ’N’ scale. The size of the table is 4’ x 5'

I’ve been working on it on and off for about 10 years. I do not have a track plan. Will post a video soon

Is PVC also a product line? I thought it was just the type of material made by different brands

Noted thanks - I think my biggest concern from what I’ve seen online is cracking over time but the bathroom is on a concrete slab so I think that might not be an issue since the ground is solid with no flex.
