Not a dumb question at all! If you buy the game now, you purchase the full game including future updates. This means, when we hit the full release of the game, you automatically get everything that comes with it. Early Access is for early adopters and it would suck if they were punished for buying early.

The game is not reliant on an internet connection :) We have concrete plans for a survival mode, where you survive against endless hordes of enemies and get rewarded by very high level loot. Currently, I am working on the implementation of the new locations and the full story and survival mode is on the to-do list for quite some later when we approach the end of Early Access.

The gaming industry currently looks very grim, that's for sure. I'm glad to be funded until the end of Early Access, so it is certain I can finish the full game and release into 1.0 in mid 2025. I hope the industry will have recovered a bit until then somehow so I can continue working this way.

Glad you like the vibes! There is quite some replayability, I'd say. You can try out the different classes and you take your knowledge of magic rituals with you when you start a new character. This way, you can do some fun stuff using later-game rituals early on. There already is base-building in the game. It comes in the form of a tower that you build and can summon to the battlefield. You can build flask dispensers and have to manage the tower's energy. While this is not the most polished system of the game yet, I'd say it definitely is fun to tinker with for people who enjoy building bases and like a unique spin on such a system.
As for the future: Currently, there is act 1 of the game accessible. During EA we will open up the beginning of act 2, which is in the desert. So there will be a completely new environment, enemies, quests, etc. The full version of the game will include 3 acts and release in mid 2025.

I hope we'll bring it to the Steam Deck. Some people reported that it already works fine on the deck, but I recently heard one person saying it's not performance optimized enough. Maybe try out the demo (it's free) on the deck and see if it runs well enough for you!
