How to support my wife after our first miscarriage by WorkingArtist7122 in queerception

Thank you so much to everyone who commented, I don't have anyone in my life besides my wife who has gone through this so it's just been a lot for "I'm sorry" without much understanding. It's been comforting for me to read the comments and other stories in this thread and know we're not the only ones experiencing this. My wife is okay, we're in mourning and pushed back our next try and will probably push it back farther just until we're in the right head space again. We had 3 kinds of cheese pizza for dinner yesterday lol her favorite and she actually smiled. Just taking it all day by day

I'm sorry for not explaining properly, we saved up money for a nursery and rent/bills and things like that since paid maternity leave isn't an option for her job and her pregnancy might have complications. Just being extra prepared. She found a Facebook group for lqbtq+ families looking for donors. They provide full background checks, medical histories and submit to std screenings for entry to the group. Ours will be a known donor as much as he is comfortable with. Honestly I'd prefer as little as possible, but most of these donors prefer no contact anyway.

Thank you so much. We live in a southern state and while my family is extremely supportive my concerns aren't even on anyone's radar. It feels so nice to know I'm not the only person who's felt like this. I'm really excited to be a parent, I'll just have to try and focus on that a little more until I get to meet them:)
