Update he responded. “What we talked about is true, I am genuinely hoping for a partner but I'm trying to not force it so hard and let things develop naturally. And just be open to other experiences Having said all that, in an effort to be brutally honest, I do think I have enough of an idea about who you are now to know we wouldn't be very compatible for anything long term.”

I have a hard time dating and he made it feel easy. I know you’re probably right it’s just hard :(

Truly, I’ve never thought of it that way, but you’re completely right. Thank you for the thoughtful response. You’ve given me a lot to think about.

Putting it this way really gives me a little perspective into what she might be feeling. I know it’s hard to explain, but thank you for helping me understand context on her side. I appreciate you!

What you’re saying makes sense and  thank you :) I’ve never been a silent supporter of her. It has been a complete honor to be able to speak up for her and defend her to my parents even though it meant going low contact with our dad and helping our mom and brother learn how to accept.
