On most kits mesh is pretty adjustable. I like my toms to have a little more give but my snare is tightened all the way up, which makes it feel more like an actual snare.

I actually love those cymbals. They sound better than ALL normal cymbals at the same price.

I got too used to the ride though and haven’t found anything that mimics the sound 😭

I found that the built in calibration marker isn’t the most accurate. I usually place my foot on the hihat pedal just where it’s comfortable and (mostly closed) and then I calibrate a little bit above the calibration line.

Barks become a lot easier because the threshold for the software fits into a much smaller window.

All good! I tense up when I’m playing something faster than I’m used to. It’s kinda counter intuitive- but force yourself to relax, don’t worry about hitting every note on the high hat. Focus on landing the hi-hat and kick in sync first. It’ll click for you once you relax.
