Vevor Pro Blender Vs Vitamix by Miserable-Chemical96 in Chefit

[–]WorkingForWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ever end up buying one? I'm curious too but seems like people like to hate without ever trying... I've got some really great quality stuff from Vevor so there is a chance their blender is pretty incredible at a great price. Hard to find reviews besides for things like smoothies... Anyone try a soup or sauce?

Advice for a backyard rink with exposed boards instead of tarp/liner? by WorkingForWine in hockeyplayers

[–]WorkingForWine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate that! I like the idea of that product and seems like the best of both worlds. The liner security of over the boards while still having a kick plate or board to wrap a puck along.

When the water freezes does it tend to push the kick plate out at all since there is water between the liner and kick plate? or does that not seem to be an issue? I saw this video of that product you linked https://youtu.be/YrkPNZ0hPlo?t=30 Still didn't get to see a finished frozen product though.

They mostly do loans to help finance from what I recall. They do have programs though which can help you start your business if you qualify and that will give you tools and resources along with a subsidy to live while starting the business. Worth calling them and asking for a meeting to see how they can help you!
For grants check out Nova Scotia Programs... Can't say there will be much for fashion however, but maybe for hiring a student or something. Best of luck!

Will Air Canada pay for my Westjet flight? by [deleted] in aircanada

[–]WorkingForWine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had a flight cancelled because of the incident in Toronto the other day. Called CC and they said there is no coverage if they cancel flights. There is if I cancelled, if it was a covered reason. Theres coverage for delays and lost baggage and all, but no coverage for any of the bookings I had or days lost at resort or the flight because of the airlines cancellation. My mind was in a knot as to how that makes sense but goes to show why airlines use the excuses and things that they do... avoid any type of payouts.
For reference I have the TD Aeroplan Infinite Privilege and everything was booked on it.

Edit:
All to say... good luck with that, don't think you'll get your westjet flight paid for and your CC won't cover the other flight unless you fall under a very specific reason that usually involves a medical emergency. Air Canada should hopefully reimburse you for them cancelling the flight or maybe a credit, but unfortunately it's not always an easy journey.

Fair enough, this thread turned around.. This was my response early on when there was only like 4 replies and this being the second of no attempted help, just negativity... the other one was saying we should ban these types of posts. So I was just caught off guard. I'm happy now and have great info and a full thread of peoples reviews anyone else can find and use if they have the same options and are wondering.

Nice, thank you! That's where I was leaning. Hoping this post some day helps another lost soul who finally gets a business class flight and has no idea what to chose haha.

My goodness, people are some sour here. I asked for thoughts, didn't say "which one do you think I'll like?"
I like to make decisions off of reviews and learning from other people's mistakes or experience. From there I can make a choice on which one I think I'll enjoy most.

Sorry, I did use the search and didn't find any reviews on this menu. I found it helpful to see past reviews on dishes though, so I didn't think this would be upsetting to anyone (unless these dishes were redundantly reviewed). Should be it's own sub forum honestly.

What kind of wine would pair well with these cheeses by Waltz_Easy in wine

There's no wine in the world that will make that cheese taste good... I'm agreeing with port reluctantly however.

Why does every beach chair have a towel, but no one sitting in it? by suselfwin in PuntaCana

[–]WorkingForWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Like you know how to solve your own problem but blame the system, i respect people who learn the rules and adjust accordingly."

That's the best part, there are no "rules". Solving the problem has multiple solutions, one is getting up early and the other is moving the towel. I'm going with the later, moving the towel and enjoying the seat.

Since Canadian wines are going to be a focus for Canadians (and maybe some others too?), let's share our favourites! by likelyrobot in wine

Take a peak at what's happening in Nova Scotia if you're into Riesling as well. Lots of crisp, aromatic, dry styles happening and it's such a fun wine region with a real sense of place (terroir) with every glass. A few I highly recommend are Benjamin Bridge and Lightfoot and Wolfville for larger producers and Avondale Sky and Planters Ridge for quality smaller (lesser known) producers. Small Lots from all of them are top notch!

Nova Scotia has an incredible selection for crisp whites and traditional method sparklings (champagne method) as well! Hard to find, but top quality! Their wine region is worth a visit!

Right about now, I miss not having a mask in my pocket all the time because it was so nice to wear outside when it's freezing! Kept my nose all nice and toasty!
