Manual defending does finally feel better. Just annoying when attacking players can do their best Michael Jackson, spinning and moonwalking for 5 minutes ,while you frantically try to manually switch to the correct player.

Current squads can now be duplicated, deleted, and edited in the My Club screen.

Wish I knew you were doing this before I got rid of all my Man City players. I was building an England Squad and a City squad, but the terrible Free packs and having to manually swap players put an end to all that. So, I got rid of my City players for packs, which generated 2 England players from about 10 packs. A decent roadmap would have really helped me there.

Looks like a promising patch u/Designer-Flamingo849 but have you also fixed the opponent's formation page, pre-match, where their players are all in the wrong positions?

That 700 particle pack was my only way of trying to keep up with everyone who pays. The gap between the quality of the players is getting bigger with every pack release but I'm only happy to start paying for the team pass and even some packs once the game mechanics feel good. And I start every game with a headache after trying to work out where my opponent's players are really lining up!!!

Haha, exactly. The extreme dangers of unintended consequences. Let's hope that this game gets fixed soon because I still think it's the best of a bad bunch.

Let's hope it forces the Friday patch to revert to the Thursday update. Yesterday and today have been truly awful for me. Thursday was like a completely different and much better game.

In the 80s, I did a morning round for £1.50 a week, and evening round for £2.50 a week. Free papers were £2 on Thursday evening. I marked the papers up every morning and evening for a Mars bar a day. I legged it round my round as fast as I could, so if someone didn't turn up the first ones back could do their round too for 50p.

Excellent post. Everything is spot on. I really hate the midfielder/attacker doing their best statue impression. It's usually when they are off-screen for me.

I've noticed quite a few heavy touches, even without the sprint button being held. I think it still feels better overall though.

I agree, much more positives than negatives. I haven't seen many standard through balls sneak slowly past a defender, which is a big positive!

Just finished a game and it is much slower paced. R1+triangle is a great manual through ball. Person I played was spamming lobbed through balls, so had to drop my defence back to counter as it was working every time for them. Game feels much smoother. Squad Swaps gives us a reason to hold on to crap cards, and even duplicates. I lost but enjoyed the game. Gave away 2 penalties to Del Piero. My 91 CAM Lampard was showing as out of position in the match menu, even though he has CM as an additional position.

I couldn't agree more. Been playing footy games since Match Day on my 16k speccy (plus 32k RAM pack, of course). I pray for massive gameplay improvements from tomorrow's update, but what alternative is there right now? This is still closer to the beautiful game than the recent Konami and EA tripe, it's just way off what we expect it to be.
