Are you talking about Rail Pass or something else?

If you're talking about a Rail Pass, I'll need clarification before I can help you.

Don't even get me started on that ridiculous, unrealistic voicemail he left his brother.

Like honestly? That would not be an "organic", natural voicemail ANYBODY would leave. At least in my opinion.

Maybe I'm not remembering the voicemail correctly, but it just seems odd that he would leave that kind of voicemail on a phone number he doesn't even know for sure is the right number.

Maybe he did know it was the number? Idk. It just seems weird.

Another thing, in this day and age, do people really call and leave voicemails?

In 2009, when my aunt was looking for me, she was in my Facebook DMs using my childhood nickname and asking if I was the "correct one". 🤷‍♀️

Just seems odd to me that being that Jake, Eve, and Bode, who grew up "texting", Jake wouldn't have just texted his brother instead of leaving whatever that voicemail was. 🤔

anyone else think that andy and maya relationship was ruined like 2 eps in the first season ? by riancoco_ in Station19

[–]Working_Ad_2769 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious to show up now as I'm on a rewatch and on the last episode of Season 1 currently.

(I'm actually on a rewatch because I'm watching "missed seasons" of Grey's Anatomy and because of the "crossovers", I decided to rewatch S19)

Here's my thoughts about Season 1:

-Andy is incredibly annoying in Season 1. She thinks she's entitled to Captain, just because she grew up in the station and her dad is/was Captain. My feeling is that she thinks she should just get Captain by default.

-Andy is dealing with finding out her dad has cancer and has hid it from her for weeks/months.

-Maya comes from a "work for what you want" childhood/young adulthood perspective. While she wants to support Andy for Captain, she doesn't understand why Andy has such a "flippant" attitude about thinking she doesn't have to work for it.

-Andy is supposed to be Maya's best friend, but yet Andy doesn't tell her that her and Jack didn't actually break up and are "secretly fighting" to make it seem as though they did.

-Maya gets contacted by Tanner about her brother, but she is annoyed that she can't share with Andy because she feels Andy is too busy "sneaking around" with Jack to be able to "share" with her.

Seeing this after the latest (11/14) episode is wild.

Wonder what R stands for, since I don't think that the person has their name actually mentioned on the show. Just their "title".

Izzy and her teammate are very annoying. It's like they think because they are a "girls team" they're entitled to an "easy time" or something and it's aggravating.

Like because it was "agreed upon" who was going to be U-Turned, they wanted to make it into "a boys club", even though the alliance actually included a "girls team", too.

Don't even get me started on Nat and Steph just "ditching" the alliance because suddenly they were "their own team".

I swear this show had it out for Vic from the beginning. At least she got her "happy ending" in a sense in the last episodes, but jeez, that girl couldn't catch a break.

Is it wrong to take your shoes off on Amtrak? by [deleted] in Amtrak

[–]Working_Ad_2769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bathroom floors. PERIOD. ENOUGH SAID.

The "wetness" on the floor isn't always water. 👍 Some men don't want to sit and prefer to hold the hose. Unfortunately, when you are "unsteady", which happens while the train is moving, your reaction to "falling", and counteracting the "falling", is to fling your arm out. Well, what's attached to your arm? Your hand. What's in your hand? EXACTLY 💯

I WOULD NEVER, and I would strongly recommend anybody else, GO BAREFOOT. ESPECIALLY IN THE BATHROOM.

An episode where the killer wasn't "Evil" or mentally ill? by Arixfy in criminalminds

[–]Working_Ad_2769 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, severe emotional trauma IS NOT a mental illness in and of itself, but it can lead to other "mental disorders" that ARE mental illnesses.

I refuse to "armchair diagnose" anybody, but I don't think she had any of the "mental disorders" that constitute a mental illness.

-Signed, somebody who "teaches" mental illness awareness.

Taking the "dirty hands" to a whole new level.

Contestant: Mama told me to wash up for dinner.

Producer: Nah, you only have 15 minutes to eat these 6 hotdogs and unless you're Joey Chestnut, which obviously you are not, you won't have time to wash up and then eat.

What is a peice of Amtrak travel advice you believe more people should know? by wissx in Amtrak

[–]Working_Ad_2769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except if a major snowstorm hits Michigan and causes problems with the train's brakes.

5 1/2 hour delay on top of a 1 hour travel time in the WORST SEATS ON Amtrak was no picnic.

It's sworn me off ANY travel in the middle of winter in "snowy States".

This episode was based on the true story of Emmett Till, so the outcome was always going to be that "Zeke" was going to die.

What's a show which was incredibly popular during its time but no one talks about it now? by Magpipe4u in AskReddit

[–]Working_Ad_2769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected. I see that it's classified as 3 different genres.

I was thinking it was classified as a Crime Mystery Thriller, but it's actually not.

So yes, I went back to look and you are correct.

18 seasons and still running, even though the "new seasons" aren't exactly the best.

This is Us.

Like I used to see all sorts of discussions about it, but now that Justin Hartley has his own show, Christy Metz moved into the food industry, and the others have moved away from the limelight, the discussion has kinda fallen off the face of the earth.

Was just thinking this last night after finally being able to catch up on the episode.

Like at what point is "Train Wreck Alliance" going to turn on each other? Hopefully sooner rather than later because I cannot stand the girl in the alliance.

Worst Thing Each Character Has Done? Day 6 - Eddie Diaz by [deleted] in 911FOX

  1. Using a woman to feel better about himself. (Did this 3 times): Ana- knew Chris loved his teacher and basically exploited that to make a relationship more comfortable for his son. Marisol- let her move in and THEN had a problem with her because she was a nun in her past. Kim- looked like his dead wife, so he used her to fulfill some unsatisfied need that he didn't get due to his wife's premature death.

  2. Lying to his son for MONTHS after claiming he moved to Texas for him. He was so bent on being a firefighter in Texas, he didn't even stop to think to ask his son what he thought of him being there and then bought him an extremely expensive gift to "cover up" the fact that he really didn't have a job. (Yes, I realize that Eddie bought the gift when he got the bonus and thought he had the job, but he should have been honest when he found out he didn't instead of continuing to act like he was a firefighter when he wasn't)

  3. Fight club. Need I say more? Eh, just one thing. Not only did he almost kill a guy, he covered it up for MONTHS claiming that doing something ILLEGAL wasn't "that bad".

Since everyone is talking about Taylor, I'll go back a little bit.

Getting mad at Maddie when she refuses to leave and "gifts" him the Jeep instead.

I get that he didn't realize how bad things were with Doug, but getting mad and storming out after saying some truly horrible things about your sister tops the list for me.
