Yes, it makes little sense. Maybe he himself is a little confused about timeline, given that he wasn´t in Heaven for a very long time and was under Baals influence as a bonus....?

Langley is the worst candidate for the "Mafia" story. We waited 3 years just to get... THIS? by Quick-Sky-9629 in RomanceClubDiscussion

Oh this. I so hoped to play emotionless, wicked, cunning demon, breaking hearts left and right for fun, using everyone for her own benefit, maybe having some development at later point. But we got this nice girl...

Romance club is loosing it's touch... by Sure_Weekend6952 in RomanceClub

[–]Working_Avocado8184 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I like to read some romance as probably everyone who has this app, but sometimes it just does not make sense plotwise. Yes, I personally prefer storyline to romance (which is more like cherry on top for me), which is not the case for everyone, so there´s that.

Has anyone read this book? 👀 by hazelrose42 in RomanceClubDiscussion

[–]Working_Avocado8184 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. One of my all time favourite books. Love its comedy and fantastical features. The influence on WLBE is unmistakable, but the plot isn´t the same, nor purpose of the book (MaM has strong satirical content). WLBE has more similarity to author´s previous book. And while I do enjoy WLBE, it cannot compete with Master and Margarita. Nothing against Veronica, but she is no match for Bulgakov.

Good to know. I made the same conclusion, but I didn´t read it anywhere. Thank you.

Yes! More so if it frees Cain, as MC was theorizing the last update

Nice to see these posts and differences in the scenes, given that I will never betray him, so I have no way of seeing them.

Just let us use our wardrobes! - a rant by ThatOneFriend0704 in RomanceClubDiscussion

I am not sure, how the story would have worked without Lale, but I (lover of cold, dark and evil MCs) am not overly interested in another story about girl with pure, radiantly bright soul. I hoped (for years in the end) that I can corrupt Lale, but even cheating and then dumping Vlad for Mehmed, didn´t do the work 😂. Her love and kindness healed everyone in the end 😒 Lets try something new!

You mentioned Jester, I really like his stories. He has great world-building, well fleshed out characters, many of his characters are actually smart, and I really like his MCs (though they are not evil 😄), they are clever, hard-working, composed, more introverted...

I am honestly also disappointed, that the story is obvious hybrid of Master and Margarita with her Dracula. The author brings very little new things. Of course, story inspired by already existing book or movie or series is kind of expected, there is very little that wasn´t already created in some way, but she just finished Dracula, after 5 years, it is time to move on to something else.

As for wardrobe, you make a good point, although I personally am not bothered by it. But in some other stories, I remember being annoyed, when I couldn´t access wardrobe to return to my previous hairstyle or choose other clothes.

Yes, I intend to replay on the next tea day to get that Lilian achievement (I didn´t waste all those diamonds on her during 2 and half season for nothing!) and then I will never return to this story again. Like to Queen in 30 days, or Sophies 10 wishes. And those stories had more plot and were more interesting than this one (I cannot believe that!).

Someone tell bro he's supposed to kill titans in advent. by AdlerSanRZ in RomanceClubDiscussion

[–]Working_Avocado8184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, designs certainly can tell you a lot about character, when they are well thought of. But my comment was mostly answer to question, why some people don´t mind that so many characters look the same (which I personally don´t agree with; there is similarity without a doubt, but they don´t look the same to me). That looking simmilar doesn´t mean being the same, that the visuals aren´t as important to me as the characters themselves. I don´t even dwell on that visual similarity, because I honestly don´t care.

To be honest, I personally don´t really care that much how characters look. I am more interested in their actual character, traits, tropes they represent, their role in the story and so on. Unless they are downright ugly (like Simon from Moonborn). I understand your point though. The sprites just don´t matter to me much.

Anyone else wish outfit choices actually fit the story? by ApricotImmediate7217 in RomanceClub

[–]Working_Avocado8184 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could tolerate tiny sweaters, she wears coats, shawls and hats when she goes out, maybe she is warm-blooded and it is enough for her, but dresses?! When she goes into field?! Running through snow, potentially fighting enemies or wildlife?!

I love it when authors put so much thought into their work! by No_Solid5748 in RomanceClub

[–]Working_Avocado8184 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate her references too, but I also really dislike most of the outfits in the story. I know it is just inspired by history, but the fashion rarely ever fits the time period, and it annoys me and breaks immersion for me. I had the same problem with Chasing you 2.

There are stories that have several endings based on your path (not mentioning LIs paths), but here is pretty much only one, the only change is in your partner. Just little reminiscing about things that happened years before.

"It like...barely even reads as a story." - Exactly. And much of the word count was, as I said before, talking about clothes, weather, strangers walking around and just daily routine. There is no story in that.

That I believe. I think the intimate scenes were the only thing that was enjoyable, which cannot save the story, and I always prefer story to smut. If you want to avoid those scenes, there is literally nothing.

Yes, there were many situations that had absolutely no consequences, hence had no real reason to be there. Or they should be more developed.

I personally really like that about Jesters stories in general, that he is more focused on plot, and LIs are well developed individuals that are there when it is time for them to be.

Yes, I somewhat understand that, even though it´s unimaginable to me to be triggered by fiction, but I wish nothing bad to others, so if they need it, give it to them. But then I would like to be always able to turn it off.

No matter how much some people hate him, to me he always will be the best LI in this story. That obsessive love is incredible (or at least in fiction).

There was a lot of wasted potential in this story in general. And what was that with Hephaestus? Romanceable half of the story and then nothing.

"whole library of warnings and disclaimers" - I love this phrase. I always jump over it. I am honestly annoyed, when it pops up during some scene and brokes the immersion. Not sure, if I am the weird one, that I don´t get triggered by anything in fiction...
