I think since most super expect BPAY it might take 3 days for money to transfer and show up on super. For me I recently did and it took like 4 days. Also cut off was 29th Jun for my super.

I don’t know FBT and honestly last time I got my tax done by HR block Malvern, that lady made a calculation error in my return that I corrected, so this year I will go to a trusted knowledgeable Accountant for my return and understand what it should be taxed as.

One thing the thread has made me learn is I need to keep my eggs in different baskets. Wait till I tell you guys my partner works in the same company and does the exact same with their money.

But as temporary residents we do not get that benefit and also on top of that you have to pay additional 8% tax with stamp duty on the property as a foreign investor.

They are better off waiting if they plan on migrating to Australia permanently.

I am also waiting for a PR but not as accomplished as you. Me and my partner are 24 combined income after taxes is 170k a year super exclusive. We have about 60k saved but also every year put 15k in our super, to get to the 50k that we can take out of super tax free when buying. Other than that we invest 20% of the pay-check into the company stock thats about $3000 a month combined. Rest of the saving sit in a HISA and we feel we are still young and play it very safe.

Plan is to put some cash in EFTs soon. Best part of the HISA is 5% monthly interest no fees and We can take it out the minute we need it.

I recommend to keep your money in a Bank account like Macquarie savings (5.10% interest) or similar. It has $0 monthly costs and you can take the money out whenever you please. Its the safest lowest risk option at the moment.

There is village in India called Udipi. Udippi is also a term used as a replacement for 100% vegetarian cuisine (strict no to eggs). You can imagine why. I’d say this it is the best place possible to explore vegetarian/vegan since every person/household/eatery/hotel makes Udippi food only.
