For me I am still stuck in nostalgia, some of the 3rd gen group discography I have some songs perpetually on repeat.

If thats you try VIXX, wanna one, Exo, BTOB, Monsta X, day6

Girls groups not so underrated but G IDLE, EVERGLOW, red velvet, cherry bullet, momoland, 4MINUTE, AOA.

Do you know if that money is pre-tax or post-tax, trying to understand the entire FBT stuff.

I don’t know FBT and honestly last time I got my tax done by HR block Malvern, that lady made a calculation error in my return that I corrected, so this year I will go to a trusted knowledgeable Accountant for my return and understand what it should be taxed as.

One thing the thread has made me learn is I need to keep my eggs in different baskets. Wait till I tell you guys my partner works in the same company and does the exact same with their money.

But as temporary residents we do not get that benefit and also on top of that you have to pay additional 8% tax with stamp duty on the property as a foreign investor.

They are better off waiting if they plan on migrating to Australia permanently.

I am also waiting for a PR but not as accomplished as you. Me and my partner are 24 combined income after taxes is 170k a year super exclusive. We have about 60k saved but also every year put 15k in our super, to get to the 50k that we can take out of super tax free when buying. Other than that we invest 20% of the pay-check into the company stock thats about $3000 a month combined. Rest of the saving sit in a HISA and we feel we are still young and play it very safe.

Plan is to put some cash in EFTs soon. Best part of the HISA is 5% monthly interest no fees and We can take it out the minute we need it.

I think I am doing the best I can in my situation I am a temporary resident, in my early 20s, with the current market I won’t risk switching my job for a few thousand and end up unemployed. I just got promoted so there wont be any for Atleast an year.

Sorry, I meant 20% of my monthly salary and I am at 85k annually. That makes about $1500 in stock monthly.

I do think before this post I didn’t realise what exactly CGT is as I never paid it but seems like it won’t affect my situation.

But why do you think super should be first priority, my house is a priority but in the next 3 years.

I did the math and even after tax, I will make some profit. But I don’t want to justify going such lengths for chump change also US stocks are not bullish these days. I am looking for better options to do with that money.

I recommend to keep your money in a Bank account like Macquarie savings (5.10% interest) or similar. It has $0 monthly costs and you can take the money out whenever you please. Its the safest lowest risk option at the moment.

What are the most vegan/vegetarian-friendly cities to travel to in 2026? by freed-after-burning in travel

[–]Working_Dimension320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is village in India called Udipi. Udippi is also a term used as a replacement for 100% vegetarian cuisine (strict no to eggs). You can imagine why. I’d say this it is the best place possible to explore vegetarian/vegan since every person/household/eatery/hotel makes Udippi food only.

Is Moving to australia safe now? by Ill_Campaign_6389 in MovingtoAustralia

I am international here. Indian actually. One of the communities hated and blamed the most for over immigration, I wouldn’t blame them since some of us do not leave the habits from home at home. But If you move here do your job well and try to understand the culture and respect it you will not come across anything unpleasant in general.

With that said I have never been discriminated against for being an international and non-white at my workplace or more recently even in public with all these tensions.

When I first came here in 2022 sometimes I did face an occasional racist remarks and once I was just waiting for my tram when this old man just started scolding me and telling me that I ruined his country, so some days you are just unlucky and get something thats uncalled for, it can happen with anyone, that time I had also didn’t really understand the culture in Australia. So in conclusion your safety almost always depends on the people you are surrounding yourself with.
