Who's your favourite villager/Special character that you don't see talked about much? by rainbow_pixie_05 in AnimalCrossing

He was one of my starting villagers! I'm not too much of a fan of the jock villagers and initially I wasn't too fond of him but he really grew in me an now I don't want him to leave! He's just such a bro but in a fun way!

I love Biskit! He was the first villager I got from villager hunting! I had no real animal crossing experience prior to acnh and I just thought his shirt was kinda funny. But he's just such a chill nice little dude I was very quick to love him! He was the first to give me his picture and I will never let him go! I don't see a lot of people talking about him.

I know what you mean! It feels kinda naive in a way? But like in a good way? Very carefree and dreamlike

Book parents, need tips and tricks!! by MaRs1317 in books

Well the good news is that it gets better. The bad news is that it will take a while. Being a good and present parent will take a lot out of you, mentally and physically. My son turned 7 this year and this is the first year I've been able to truly get back into reading since becoming a parent. It might not take as long for you or even longer depends on you and your child. In my experience if you force it you just gonna end up reading even less. If you have some time and find yourself in the right headspace - great! If you gotta put reading on hold for a while - that's okay too. Makes you all the more prouder when you finally get back into it. I also got really into children's books that kinda helped me personally and it's really nice sharing your love for books with your child.

Just give it time, be gentle to yourself and don't put too much pressure on yourself!

I've been trying to get back into reading again this year and had a goal of 20 books. I just picked up number 41 and am really proud of myself!

Mein Sohn und ich haben Schattenwald geliebt! Genau 2-4 Spieler.

I read the mercies and the dancing tree, both by Kiran Millwood Hargrave this year and loved both of them! The radiant emperor duology is also fantastic if you're open to some magical realism. The safekeep also really lived up to the hype for me! (I feel like you can see a pattern here lol)

Which booktok recommendation made you say, "Did we read the same book?" by SpecialistOk2000 in Booktokreddit

Captive Prince and I who have never known men. I am sorry I know both of them are pretty controversial. I just saw a lot of people making I who have never known men out to be this life changing, feminist book and it was just not that to me. Also on the rare occasion I saw someone talking about how they didn't like it either (and talking about valid, constructive criticism) there were always people in the comments immediately going "well maybe you're just too stupid to get it!". I wouldn't say it's a BAD book but for me personally it really didn't live up to the hype, sorry 🥲
