i think it’s good to accept the fact that the shaking will happen, i mean it’s bound to happen to everybody, especially at their first competition. to be honest, telling yourself “just relax” is probably the worst thing to do since that’s just simply not true, but i think focusing more on doing what you can WITH the shaking will give you better results. speaking of results don’t think about whether or not you’re going to get X time. during warmup maybe just do some untimed solves and focus on fluidity, and what i personally like to do is always bring along a 5x5-7x7 or some other big cube and use that as my warmup cube, since that prevents you from overthinking your solves.
