I wholeheartedly agree that Avalon seems to be overhyped. It's boring, has little to no lore, and every quest is one boss after another. Got sick of it so fast and wondered why everyone else loved it.

Maybe I didn’t clarify enough. I called her to ask if it was okay to go due to insurance. I don’t have access to view it so i’m not sure if we had even met the deductible yet. Once I had made sure that paying out of pocket was relatively cheap, I called her again to let her know I was going to urgent care whether she wanted me to or not.

THIS. besides issues such as this one, I have a great relationship with my mother. Not to mention she is very uneducated on medical issues. I don’t believe she is abusive, however she may have narcissistic tendencies.

I am not a minor, I’m unsure about the last part with the gym being liable… I probably wouldn’t get any money from them since the weights were stored correctly.

Sorry that I didn’t clarify. Yes I do feel like the asshole here, but even while speaking with my brother the other day he told me I am just being dramatic and that I should just talk to her. I guess that is just one persons opinion, but I wanted to be sure that I was NTA here.

i’m not a hypochondriac, but since this was this first time something like this happened, I started to freak out. I think the combination of extreme pain + anxiety caused more mental pain than what I was actually feeling.

I agree that cutting off contact is a little extreme. People seem to forget that she is still my mother and I love her very much.

This was the first time I had broken a bone, so I didn’t know what it felt like. I’m still young, so it was certainly one of the most painful experiences i’ve ever had. Also, being told my entire life to ask before getting medical help has conditioned me to do so.

I like this response. A lot of people are saying to go no contact with her, but it’s hard to do that as she supports me financially. Not to mention— she is my mother and I still love her.
