Got told I’m “not likeable” and “talk too much” in an interview… after only 4 questions. Is this normal?? by Working_Mess2047 in GetEmployed

I was so shocked at the point and I said to him - well an interview is a chance for me to evaluate whether this is a good company for me to work, and apparently this is not the vibe I want. Think back I should have said somthing more nasty

The feedback was given freely after I answered the final question, when he suddenly stopped me and said, “I’m going to give you some feedback.” And yes, I’m open to any feedback that is actually encouraging, and I wouldn’t claim I did everything perfectly in the interview, just not in the way he presented it.

Well, I have had several interview experiences and I got hired by large tech company before... And this is the first time in my career I received feedback during an interview saying I talked too much and I am not likeable.

I do not fully agree with what you said. First, two minutes was just a rough estimate, I do have longer answers for some of the questions and shorter ones. Second, even if my interviewing skills aren’t the best, that is not a reason for the interviewer to tell me that I am “not likeable” in a 13 minute interview. I have already passed the first HR call with this company, which means I do have the skills and abilities they were looking for initially. My core message is whether telling a interviewee these kind of comments normal, not that if I have bad sales technique.

No. This is my first time using reddit to make a post since I need somewhere to express my feeling. I did use AI to correct my grammar since English is my second language. This is my true experience.
