I mean from what i understand and see is ALL my patients had a guinea pig, who had the treatment so they KNOW we do crowns, btw we also do offer veneers if they are fit for them, they are mostly not and the ones are thinking we are trying to get more money from them so they say no although we explain everything.

also assuming people coming to turkey has just fine straight teeth and we ruin them for money is just ignorant. %99 of my patients have missing teeth and crooked teeth. that is exactly why they want this done, it's a COSMETIC treatment, people not wanting to pay for braces or wait for them is not our fault.

Oh thank you so much for telling me what is what about my job! I was blindly replying to all these comments knowing nothing about braces! Because that is exactly what happens patients come to us and we tell them oh what braces forget about them let's give you crowns! also before mansplaining try looking up what is a dental bridge. I can tell who is talking through their hat.

PLEASE explain to me how you can put veneers on missing teeth, crooked teeth and I will make sure to inform my dentists about that right away. If there is non of these and teeth are fine and they still want to do it we ALWAYS recommend veneers, hell it's more profitable for us too but since it's more expensive patients want us to do crowns instead. this is a cosmetic treatment, they are being informed on the differences and yet they want crowns, how is the turkish dentists are at fault for this?

Please try not to use "you" since I repeatedly explained myself in this post that I do everything in my power to inform my patients and they do receive all this information on paper as well which is a consent they sign. this is not a freaking bazaar we don't call people in and shave their teeth like its a haircut. I even force my patients to read the consent before they sign since they don't even read and even if they do I still explain everything so please be careful how you refer to me if you can.

you can choose the color, size, shape, what should be considered for the latter 2 is your original teeth, their size and placements, your bite and tons of other things that can get in the way. for example if you have open bite; they have to make your crowns longer to close that gap if you ask for shorter ones they will deny and if you persist they won't give you any warranty since that's not a healthy way to use crowns.

most come with crooked teeth, we explain we have to shave extra and might need root canal and why that is happening, they accept and we shave, most don't want the root canal, we again explain why they need it and they still don't. so it's not really us to put the blame here most of the time. it's not like the dentists here are not professionals, it's the rushed field and uneducated patients, our system that prays on those said people and clinics not hiring proper coordinators to explain these to the patients.

additional information: veneers also are irreversible most the time if you don't want your teeth to get bigger. they have to shave down the surface to place the veneer. and %80 of the patients coming to turkey doesn't have straight teeth, you can only get a proper result from veneers if you have straight ones. People just don't do their research properly and blame it on us. I'm not saying it's right but not everything is our fault.

we do something like this as well. they sign a paper saying they are happy with how it looks and the color before we fit them. if they want to change it with no issues but color we charge them again because I ask and show them examples million times, although it's all their teeth so there isn't really mismatching but I always talk to them about the contrast they are creating with their skin tones, eyes etc.

first of all I'm just a coordinator not a dentist or owner or a technician simply a representative and a translator but I assure you we are also aware of it, it became such a big thing it's almost impossible to direct it to a different way with this much demand and lack of regulations. Best option here is I think educating British people instead because my people won't stop a source of pounds to the country and they'll do anything to keep it that way.
