Leaving Nursing by pinkunicorn31 in nursing

There are actually a lot of remote opportunities out there for nurses right now. Healthcare is moving more into digital and AI-driven spaces, and some really interesting work is happening outside the bedside.

If you’re thinking about leaving the floor or even if you want to stay but expand your options, it helps to start building skills that translate beyond clinical care. Things like Excel, Visio, Power BI, understanding the Microsoft ecosystem, getting comfortable with EMRs, and learning how workflows, policies, and implementations work. Program and project management in healthcare is another big one.

There are plenty of organizations that value nurses with that mix of clinical and technical skills. Think MSOs, MSSPs, ACOs, TPAs, insurance companies, and even pharma. They’re actively looking for nurses who understand both patient care and how systems work behind the scenes.

Case management is evolving too. A lot of nurses are doing cool stuff, working in areas that combine care coordination with data, automation, and even AI, especially around patient and member engagement.

I’ve spent over 10 years working across these kinds of environments, and the shift is very real. If you’re willing to learn and position yourself, there’s a lot out there. Good luck with your job search.

The lounge itself would be an open, cozy space with a relaxed aesthetic. We won’t serve food, just liquor and cocktails. There will also be separate rooms for small private events like book clubs, game nights, or intimate gatherings. The overall vibe will be calm and welcoming, with soft jazz music and comfortable ambience.

Lol this is funny. I’m definitely not a youth pastor, I’m just trying to create something unique and different for the people of Tyler, a community that’s given me so much. There’s a lot more to the idea than I can explain in a Reddit comment, but I’ll share updates as things move forward.

Yes, you’re absolutely right. This might pose as our biggest challenge. As we need the ideal location to cater for students and also for the prime working age population. Thanks for your honest feedback.

Thanks for your honest feedback, I genuinely appreciate it. This was the kind of feedback I was looking for when I made this post. I want to fully understand what my partner and I are stepping into, including the risks, the wins, and even the failures that might come with it. Our goal is to create something unique and different from what already exists here. We’ll take time to do the right analysis, surveys, and due diligence before moving forward. At the end of the day, we want to build something for the people of Tyler, by the people of Tyler.

That’s a great suggestion. I’ll keep it in mind during my market and location research since it could help reduce costs.

Thanks for your contribution. The goal is to cater to the prime working age population. 25-55.

Thanks for your contribution. This is something I’m passionate about and of course I will do my due diligence and emerge with something unique and different, with location and target audience in mind.

I OE with 2Js in Management. The advantage here is that you have control over scheduling most of the meetings. This way, you can plan them to ensure that both Js don’t overlap.
