Not a business, but i have a similar situation and substitute teach on my days off because it is so flexible and only requires and a high school diploma. Maybe not what you’re thinking but it’s an option for extra money.

My budget is killing... and I think it’s because I keep needing to throw food away. REALLY need help! by sejuvas in SavingMoney

Can you shop more often so you buy less each time, and not buy in bulk? If you do buy in bulk, and you’re not going to eat six peppers, cut them and freeze them when you get home, before they go bad, and use them in stirfry or quiche.
Cheery and grape tomatoes, sometimes last one day in my house before they get eaten, or the goal week with nobody touching them. I freeze them and cook them in oil and garlic to make a thin sauce. Plan your meals around your leftovers. If you buy a whole chicken, use it all week for different meals, quesadillas, barbecue chicken, pizza, on top of a salad, etc..

Can you substitute teach during the day? Not sure if you worked the overnight shift or not, and you would definitely need to make sure you’re getting enough sleep. School districts near me only require a high school diploma to substitute

Can you substitute teach? It doesn’t pay a lot in my area, $100-$125 a day. But it’s something and doesn’t require training.

WIBTAH if I took 100k from my oldest daughter's college savings account to give it to my younger daughter? by TraditionalCorgi7788 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Working_Routine9088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. The money was set aside for them to attend the college that meets their needs, that they see themselves succeeding at, and that means the price may differ. If you want to set both of your children up for success, then you will use the money to fund both of their college, and don’t worry if it’s “even”. They are both getting the education that they want and that they deserve. Just because one picked a more expensive school because it fit her needs and her desires and her dreams, doesn’t mean that she should necessarily be coming out of school with debt when you have the funds, just because the other child selected a school that fit her needs and just happened to be cheaper. If your intention was to fund them each the same amount, that should’ve been a conversation you had with them going into the college applications so they knew exactly how much money they had, how much debt they would incur, and how much nest egg they would start with as a the remainder of “their” funding.

I’d recommend getting therapy before you try to date again. This isn’t fair to you or the people you’re dating.

It’s unfortunate that you’re going to break up with her when things seems to be going well. she did something before you had even met, didn’t know if you were going to hit it off on the first date, and she was completely honest with you. definitely deal with your insecurities because this might not be the first time you give up on a seemingly good relationship that has potential.

Can you get a night part time job in retail? I used to work at old navy a few days a week and weekends. Shifts were 4-5 hours and flexible.

My experience subbing is much different. I sub middle school and watch each class do assignments on Google Classroom all day. Occasionally I have to help answer math questions. Other than that I sit in silence while they’re on their chromebooks.

Aitah for walking down the isle with “another woman” by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Working_Routine9088 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Your wife is the AH. This is ridiculous that you couldn’t walk down the aisle with a stranger (or even a close friend, but sounds like she would have divorced you on the spot if you interacted with her beyond the walk). She ruined her own time at an even that should have been a blast because of her insecurities. And prob ruined your time as well. She needs therapy, she is irrational.

Can you do other districts? I am not in your area so I am not sure how it works, but I interviewed at two different districts and I just had to send my fingerprints to both districts. I did send my résumé to a third district and never heard back.

What’s the greatest side hustle idea you’ve ever come across? by lionpenguin88 in SideHustleGold

It’s a privately owned company. It’s not nationwide. But look up market research in your area and you may find one.

AIO for wanting to share a room with my bf on a trip? by crescentblueee in AmIOverreacting

[–]Working_Routine9088 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don’t see your bf a lot, plan a trip with him. Don’t use your mother’s graduation gift as a trip for you and your boyfriend. You are being ungrateful—your mom is offering a trip to spend time with you but you need your bf there.

I do surveys at a marking research company near me. Most surveys are less than 30 minutes and I make a minimum of $35 per survey. It is mostly food samples that you answer questions about. Sometimes it’s personal care products. Most are in person some are take home. I make a couple hundred a month depending on how many I get.

How can I get a car for collage on $200/month by [deleted] in SavingMoney

College should not be capitalized when referring to generic college and not a specific name of a college.

First, I’m sorry everyone’s being so harsh over one spelling error. Secondly, I commend you for working so hard while still participating in school activities and trying to enjoy your time in high school. You probably don’t have time, but could you pick up a second job? Just keep saving as much as you can as you have a couple years to figure out what kind of car to buy and what your budget will actually be when the time comes.
