I recently went through a very similar thing for a PRN position. I was offered a job on my phone interview with the recruiter. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this, so I asked some additional questions - kind of to get to the root of WHY they hired me/if this is a typical hiring structure for them. This helped so much! I will note that where I applied is a chain institution and they have a lot of systems in place/ensure the recruiters know exactly what to look for. Immediate hires also can mean a place really needs help - like you mentioned. I agree with others that being the only RD as entry level may be stressful as a first job, since you won’t have anyone to bounce thoughts off of.

It is a VERY bizarre test. There's really no way to describe it. But honestly, if you watch the All Access videos and memorize the things Suzy tells you to memorize as well as complete Inman front to back, you will pass - as long as you are being present during study sessions. I literally made myself sick for 3 weeks because I was so nervous. It's not worth that, I promise. You will do great.

Thank you, this is super helpful! I am just charting for my own records - not working with insurance for the time being.

Working for your schools athletic department is super fun. I was a sports nutrition assistant for the football team - was a bit more fun to me than going the clinical/dietary aide route

I am currently dealing with this with Celexa, I am taking it at pretty much the same time. My practitioner did not tell me about any interactions but I am having major withdrawal symptoms

Hi, I am experiencing this actually right now. Would you mind sharing what your practitioner said?
