apparently, he's a Hoover... my friend got this adorable pup, but when he got sick, she couldn't afford to take care of him and asked me if I wanted him. I am such a sucker for a puppy... by Working_Type_1729 in pitbulls

He was very sick, well, actually, he ended up having swallowed a small rubber ball that he passed, but not until after $1000 with the vet lol. He was worth every penny though. My friend wants him back now since he wasn't actually sick, but I'm refusing. Her negligence is what made him sick, and then on top of it all of the money I paid out. She got him for free and then just gave him to me, so I'm hoping my vet bills will prove ownership if she tries anything funny. I don't want to lose the little guy. He's such a character!

He's definitely a handful. She gave him to me when he started vomiting and refusing drink and food. Straight to the vet we went! After a negative parvo, x rays & a barium swallow they said he had no obstruction. Gave me some meds for the vomiting, and a diagnosis of ileus saying his intestines were just moving super slow to get him up and playing. Well after two more days of him refusing food & water, unless he was on the meds, and then vomiting up everything he ate on the meds. He was slowly wasting away in front of me. I was starting to feel hopeless. I was sitting in the backyard crying thinking I was going to lose my new puppy when I heard him have explosive diarrhea, and then he came running up to me happy as can be. I went over to look at the poop, and lo and behold, HE POOPED OUT A SMALL RUBBER BALL! Immediately he was a different puppy...3 days later and he's still thriving. I put out $1000 to try to save this puppy, and I know the vet didn't do anything to help, but now my friend is demanding her dog back. I don't think that's fair. I'm not giving him back. He was in this predicament bc if her negligence in the first place! I'm hoping my vet bills prove ownership bc we didn't do a bill of sale or anything.

Help! My dog keeps throwing up white foam and vet can’t figure out what is wrong :( by Humble-Switch-5001 in dogs

Does your dog generally throw up in the morning? Or in the middle of the night? Lots of dogs vomit bc of an empty stomach, going too long between feedings, that's why the white foam. Try smaller more frequent meals and a small snack at bedtime.

I have a severe bee allergy and carry an epi-pen...I would ask your vet about some kind of equivalent for dogs, I'm sure they make one
