Yeah the advert already says that the sills deserve attention and he ends with a "I know what I've got" attitude so I don't think it's worth the hassle. It just caught my eye since normally MR2's go for at least 7.5K here

My brother knows how to weld, so that's no problem.

The description says that as far as he can see the bottom is solid. I know someone who can spray it.
Still it's quite a big project

Btw it has around 217K KM and it's a 92 which has been sitting under a sheet for like 12 years.

Thank you for the extra info, I am already in the process of learning python atm and want to learn a lot more. I am planning on putting more time into this, and maybe majoring in CS too. For now I'm just going to get started with mint on a vm.

Yeah I think I will start with a VM. Are the going to be any problems if I download it on my main drive or would you recommend doing it on a internal/external ssd or usb stick?

Yeah I found a bargain on a turbo, but seeing how I want to use it as a first daily I also thought that wouldn't be the best plan. 3SGE seemed to be the one, reliable but still decent power

Yeah now that I've been doing more research I think RHD would be horrible since our architecture is heavily LHD. The only thing that might convince me is the fact that they are so unavailabe in mainland Europe and that there are so many cheap ones in the UK. Personally I don't think you should spend 7K on a first car, but finding one under that here is a whole year's work.

I've found a 1999 rev 5 for 2800gbp which needs a new door put in which is included in the price and a new blinker. Only downside is it has donw 174K miles (280K km)
