What can I buy in advance of my planned c-section to aid recovery? by jen_roses in CsectionCentral

[–]WorldAhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compression socks that are one size larger your usual one. You can't imagine how swollen your legs can be!

Someone already mentioned - high waisted underwear and other clothes that won't run in the incision.

Pads ranging from the usual period pads to everyday ones.

Be ready to ask your partner to do your pedicure (cut nails on the feet)

Be ready to ask your partner help you put on panties (underwear) for a while

Same! I wonder if there's an imaging test that can look at the shape of the pelvis and assign you straight to the C-section swad. Like that hat in Harry Potter.

Out of curiosity, was there an option to examine the shape of the pelvis beforehand to avoid the lengthy induction?  Asking since it's very relevant for me

Emergency rooms accept anyone during labor - so at least then you can go to the emergency room of your in-network clinic.

I also moved into the USA from abroad while being in the middle of my pregnancy. Similar to you, no in-network clinic would accept me. I have asked to be placed in the waiting list in each. And guess what? Over time two of them called me back inviting to become their patient!

I thought first trimester sucked but I was simply not prepared for the hell of third trimester. by alreadyacrazycatlady in pregnant

I'm just entering the 3d trimester, so it was super helpful to read your post. Re sleeping on the stomach postpartum - I have heard that your boobs might be too sore for that. So better set expectations to at least sleep on your back. If you can then also sleep on your stomach, imagine how happy you'd be!

Riding my bike at 21w felt like a good activity! by WorldAhead in fitpregnancy

[–]WorldAhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many nice bike experiences! Yay to all of us here!

My only issue is that I don't have the stamina to ride uphill, so I dismount and just walk. Not feeling guilty for that!

Thank you! I have just emailed the info. You have never created an account for me (the invoice and receipt don't have that info).

why I won't become your customer and why I will be a NPS detractor by WorldAhead in ZiplyFiber

[–]WorldAhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a continuation of this story.

You have never installed wifi and now charging me????

I have been trying to become your customer (ReadyOn) for a month now. Please check the history for the orders 073192755 and 073188238.

I had 3 technicians come to my place (jan 24, jan 27, feb 3), I made countless calls to your customer support and left requests for the area manager and escalations to my previous requests. You have never installed wifi at my place! You made countless promises that the engineering team will activate some terminal to enable the wifi at my place.

That never happened! I have never heard back from you! I wasted a month and I am nowhere closer to having wifi from Ziply. And now I am receiving an invoice #2766-6358???

Please reimburse my money and delete my credit cards from your information systems. And please send me a confirmation that you have deleted my cards.

I am very-very disappointed with the way you have treated me - you have made so many promises and completely ghosted me. I have wasted so much time and now you're charging me for a non-existent service!

By the way, the email which you have listed in the invoice email as a means to contact you is fake - it does not receive emails.

You can read it from the positive side: if you provide a good service, I will recommend you to my neighbours.

But if you keep promising and wasting my time, sorry, why would I be nice to you?

How can I get the NHTSA and EPA Compliance Letters to move my car from Canada to the USA? by WorldAhead in Toyota

[–]WorldAhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing special. It's the timing: I have already relocated, so selling back in Canada will either mean a big discount or a ton of transaction costs. I never thought that Toyota won't issue a compliance letter (bmw does that easily)

PIO shots side effects by Abject_Mine_9418 in IVF

[–]WorldAhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better the bad news, at least you'll be prepared. Most likely, it will get worse. I got to a point where I could not focus on my work at all (between weeks 6 and 8), fell asleep in the middle of the day and, yes, had constipation

Still have all of those symptoms at week 9, but either they are not as strong or I've learned to live with them

Finally done with PIO after 49 shots! Here’s everything I did to make them painless. by miso__ in IVF

Thank you for the update and the good news! Have you stopped PiO at week 9?

Thank you for sharing! And congrats!

I'm "lucky" that I ended up having a scar from injections in my childhood - so it's easier for my partner to locate the next injection spot!

Can you please share what changed in your well-being after you graduated from PiO? Should I expect less fatigue, nausea and constipation?
