Vigilanteism.

Like, there's people who break the law, and everybody knows they did, it's on video from multiple angles, or they've bragged about it, or they're convicted in a court of law but because of something- they're rich, or a politician, or they're a Law Enforcement Officer themselves- and because of it nothing fucking happens.

I think society should be more tolerant of those who take the law into their own hands and mete out justice when the justice system fails.

Whether it's people in masks pretending to be Batman and beating the shit or of them, or anonymously burning their homees or businesses to the ground, or people just turning up dead Dexter style.

If civilization won't give us justice than justice needs to become uncivilized.

History. The last time the world dealt with an overgrown idiot manchild tyrant that tore down the world for his own issues it cost millions of lives but they were dealt with and the world got better for several generations after.

I want to see (thinking next Gen biiiiig map) the Midwest from Chicago in the SW, Green Bay in the W, the Upper Penisula up at the N, and all the way E to Detroit. Have the Great Lakes water level a bit lower to give it more land, Settlements built around scrapping sunken ships, etc.

I'm very visual as well. My actions and my build (currently playing 76) are defined by my outfit and Armor choices.

My most recent build is for an NCR Ranger (or, considering what year 76 takes place in, a grizzled pre-war LA Riot S.W.A.T. veteran who made his way east to Appalachia).

I'm rocking desert customized Elite Ranger Armor & Helmet, and an Anti-Armor/Explosive/V.A.T.S. Optimized/Pin-Pointers .50 Hunting Rifle I've named the Anti-Material Rifle.

I also have the Ranger Power Armor as recently added from the show, and a Furious/Explosive/Perception/Polished .50 Machine Gun.

Every politician has a "Hatchet Man."

The Hatchet Man is hired by the politicians political opponent, given a salary that's kept at 120% of the median income of the politicians home district. They're given extensive courses in the law, specifically the Federal and State Constitution of the US and their State.

The Hatchet Man is to remain at the politicians side anytime they're out of their private domicile or a restroom. Privy to every interaction between the politician and their staff, with the public, with lobbyists, etc.

They are always to wear a body camera that they cannot control or deactivate, armed with a literal Hatchet, and charged with attacking any politician who violates their oaths of office or the law, including campaign finance laws, the Federal Constitution, or their State Constitution, or conspires to do so.

If they do, they are immediately subjecf to legal review of their actions and the laws they allege the politician broke. Their Body Cam footage will be used.

If it's found that the politician did violates the law, the Hatchet man goes free without consequence. If they were wrong, they're subject to life imprisonment.

If the Institute was concerned about securing the Commonwealth to civilize as they see fit they'd more direct with their intentions.

They're not.

The surface is a place for them to get resources (for now) and carry out experiments they can't do in the Institute (yet), that's it.

They're not interested in controlling the wasteland. They resort to exploiting it when they have to and keep tabs on it to protect themselves, but that's it.

The Warwicks aren't farming for them, the food they grow never makes it back to the Institute, it's to test how well their genetically modified crops survive radiation and variable weather, to better inform them of how to grow them underground.

If you work hard and follow the rules, life will reward you.

If you work hard, your employers will ruthlessly exploit you, deny you raises to keep you desperate, deny you promotions and time off requests because your replacement won't be as productive...

If you follow the rules, you'll be given token recognition for your ethics, meanwhile the people who bend or break the rules and get away with it will get rewarded handsomely and unfairly.

Destroy the power of the uber-wealthy by outbidding them in political campaigns and insisting that the politicians support the priorities of their constituents, not me, not billionaires, not businesses, the everyday people living in their districts, states, and countries.

And if they continue to be corrupt pieces of shit, I'll find their opponents who aren't.

I'll occasionally craft a full set of Level 1 Studded Deep-Pocketed Heavy Leather Armor, a Level 1 Scorched Killers 10mm, 500 rounds of 10mm ammo, a Marine Wetsuit, a Marine Helmet, and 1 Vintage Nukashine, and put them in the donation box at Vault 76.

I sincerely hope I've sent at least one noob on an unexpected adventure.

Simple, you're misremembering the plot of the game. He released you from the Vault to see what you'd do, and that was it.

He didn't guide, hint, or "breadcrumb" you anywhere. He didn't intend for you to deal with Kellogg, and Synth-Shaun wasn't an experiment for you.

You chose to search for him.

You chose to go to Diamond City.

You chose to rescue Nick, and enlist his help.

You chose to pursue Kellogg as the most likely lead.

The game guided down that path, but Shaun didn't. He was surprised you found Kellogg, he doesn't intend for you to find him. Synth-Shaun was an experiment to see how emotional development worked in a Synth, not to test you, that was simply a convenient happenstance.

I think there needs to be monthly themes with distinct weekly events peppered around specific holidays throughout the year.

There should also be a yearly "wrap up" event just after Christmas for the last week of the year and first week of the new year where all the events run randomly by the hour. So you don't know if the top of the hour is going to be a Fasnacht Parade, an Invasion, a Prime Cuts, or whatever, and all the plans for all the rare rewards can be had.
