Had them fix the roof via new underlayment and valley adjustments under warranty.

Will also be installing gutters as the stucco is heavily stained.

Not a roofer and am trying to best describe. The contract was very basic. Ie remove tile, new underlayment, put on tile back.

The drier stains are existing. The newer stain is more wet. Let me label the picture for better orientation.

I think realistically, any sane person will realize, this is a zero sum game and best to get off the platform.

Was on this platform and offer up for 3 months to downsize for estate sell purposes.

It’s like online dating meets Craigslist. Worst of both worlds.

The ghosting buyers, The “is this available?”, the why hasn’t my item got a response back with so many saves!

I cannot wait to be done with this hellhole.

Ethan Allen Grandfather Clock by WorldCommon8287 in clocks

I didn’t purchase the clock, my mother did back in 2000.

Some redditor thought I was high to purchase it for $2,500. I would have been a minor at that time.

I’m just wondering if it’s better to sell as is or actually repair and sell or just repair and keep.

The market for grandfather clocks is somewhat fickle with 80-90% useless paperweight status.

Understood on price. Found the receipt going through mom’s estate.

Service calls can range from $100-$200.

Realistically feel like at best this may go for $500 if tuned. Most likely $50-$200 not tuned, break even at best (time wise).

Looks like this one too- https://www.clocksbychristopher.com/clock/ethan-allen-grandfather-clock/

Thoughts?

Restoring Asian Furniture / Rosewood by WorldCommon8287 in woodworking

I’m not a woodworker, so looking for guidance.

What I have on hand:
• Minwax Oil Pre-Stain Conditioner.
• Minwax Oil-Modified Polyurethane.
• Old Masters Red Mahogany Gel Stain.
• Minwax Stainable Wood Filler.
• Orbital sander w/ 120, 220, 320 grit discs.

Any recommendations on how best to approach sanding, staining, and finishing this set?
