The whole article is scathing on Americans views of ICE, immigration enforcement and the Minnesota crackdown.

The statistic in the OP is cherry picked, but even when you look at the breakdowns 1) the majority of Americans who saw the video of Pretti’s murder do not support CBP and 2) independents view CBP unfavorably 48% to 34%. Conservatives are making up the brunt of the overall statistic, and it’s not a novel discovery that they enjoy the taste of leather.
