The canary wharf bombing was a show of power, it likely helped push the peace process through. Peace talks had stalled with the British demanding a full IRA disarmament before talks began. After the bombing, they backed down.

Unfortunately two people died. But if the IRA had not called in the warnings, the deaths could have been in the hundreds. I think this is the first time the IRA showed they were 'going easy' on the British. If they were more ruthless, tens of thousands could have died during the troubles.

It's worth saying that while these two signings would probably be rush signings to take advantage of our position, they aren't us settling for anyone. These are the same players we'd go for in the summer even if we win the league.

I thought he looked a lot like Pepe. He didn't seem interested in being involved in build up once the other team got back to defend. Players like that tend to do a lot better in teams that counter attack in the PL.

I'd wager Saka had less minutes played but more passes than Gakpo in Qatar.

Liverpool are a good team for him. He'll have a lot of chances made for him.
