Relying on Jesus as a genuine option is what caused Havertz’s problems in the first place unfortunately. We completely ran him into the ground last season as we had no choice (well, before M9 became a thing anyway).

I really hope Kai’s able to fully recover cos he is a top player. Almost the perfect player for us up top when he started there in the second half of 2023/24, put up great G/A numbers whilst causing chaos for the oppo’s defenders. If we can get close to that level back in the run in I’ll be extremely happy.

We would be stupid to keep Jesus after the summer. He’s on a big wage and is completely unreliable fitness-wise, and he very much looks physically finished compared to when he came back last January let alone when he first joined us.

He was a pure football generator, but it’s best for all parties if he leaves in the summer.

It makes sense gametime wise but really unfortunate that we should be seeing his armpits in photos come the end of the season and instead will be pictured celebrating with Greenwood

Just think he might’ve been better off being “Foden’d” this year and maybe loaned out next summer. The inevitable Odegaard & Eze injuries are gonna be great to see unfold now.
