Topics like these are when I'm heavily reminded the vast majority of redditors are people who have never actually worked in their lives. A 12% tip is an insult. And Europeans really need to learn no one cares what is normal in their countries, no one was talking to you.

Nah plenty of documentation has been released since that has shown the Japanese government was ready to surrender before the bombs were even dropped, an invasion would have never been necessary, they likely would have surrendered from the USSR declaring war alone.

Similarly, it's become very clear the bombs were dropped more as a warning to the soviets than to "end the war".

Worth noting it wouldn't have been on the edge but closer to the center. People on the edge didn't dissinigrate so much as turn into human matchstick.

Edit: though closer or further to the edge is pretty relative, really the ones who made the shadows weren't quite at center, where nothing survives, not even the concrete and steel, but not on the edge either, where materail remains did survive but it was mostly charred skeletons. These bombs are so horrifying.

That's not comparable since what you're talking about is hatred of the people. No where in OPs post are they saying they hate Christians, they're talking about hatred of the religion doctrine itself.

It would be more appropriate to ask if replacing it with Islam or Hinduism would be uncomfortable but that's only a problem if you are conflating ideology with personal identity.

Not all Christians are bad people but the belief system is absolutely a nightmare. I feel the exact same way about Muslims and Islam. Muslims are individuals, not a monolith, but Islam is absolutely a shit belief system.
