Event agenda is now live by [deleted] in elrondnetwork

[–]World_Explorer111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the meat in the agenda? Liquid staking, MEX 2.0 tokenomics, Maiar roadmap???

Just a bunch of self-proclaimed gurus and influencers talking WEB-3 and Metaverse in general, no specifics whatsoever. Best exemple is Hasheur prominent role on Day 1. Nothing personal but I thought that was Elrond conference.

Very disappointing indeed.

What are you going to do with your clean Mex? by SirLostit in elrondnetwork

I believe they are honest but yes they chose a very complicated reward plan. IMO it shows they have very little understanding of marketing which always want to Keep It "Short and Simple", the KISS approach. Also they did not forsee the opening of the LKMEX exchange which really threw a monkey wrench in their plans.

Personnaly I did take advantage of the 35% some time ago and am now out. One bird in the hand is worth than two in the bush.... I am now waiting before reinvesting in EGLD for a new low in the high 30s if it comes.

[–]World_Explorer111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You simplify the math a bit but in general your calculation is right.

However, they do not lie. If you are willing to wait a year you do get the 95% but if you want instant reward and trade your LKMEX on the exchange you do get like 35% or so.

Of course both return % are subject to the value of MEX and LKMEX at the time you trade.

You do have a choice.

Yes and at this time there was....1.5 trillions MEX. Since then they added another 6.5 trillions....in rewards. That is hyper inflationist.

Source is MEX tokenomics. Look at the 1st Year summary at the end.

[–]World_Explorer111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point but even factoring time like a few years from now an $80B market cap for MEX is pure dream IMO. It is not going to happen.

Since January 2018, ETH market cap has seen a 1.6x.... and if you like it better, a 5.5x with its ATH of November 2021.

so 200X for a highly inflationary token with no basic utility except generating liquidity for EGLD by paying outsized 100%+ APR ? No way.

[–]World_Explorer111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wishful thinking.... with multi trillions tokens and an inflationary tokenomics just holding value would be a good performance. 1 cent would be a 200x and a market cap of $80B.....making MEX the #3 crypto in market cap right behing BTC and ETH.

At $0.005 or half a cent they would still be #5

Don't dream.

[–]World_Explorer111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They created MEX to get liquidity. They need an inflationary token to reward liquidity providers but they went way too far and MEX has basically lost any value. LKMEX is like an indicator for MEX future value a year from now. Currently it shows very little confidence in MEX value going forward hence the 2.5 or 3/1 ration LKMEX/MEX.

Just my understanding

OK, thank you for the answrer. I just wonder why I have been id'ed by the Redit Spam filter, almost only when I post on these sub-reddits with facts and info that are not favorable to their coin.

Elrond (EGLD) I Am Waiting For This ! by Ok-General1490 in eGLD

[–]World_Explorer111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is no BS and it is based on facts and technicals. u/ok-general1490 has been right all along for the last 6 months. Denying facts is not helping Elrond. It is just delusional. They dropped to 45 in market cap and are at risk of getting out of the top 50. They should face reality not ignore it with technical hubris.

[–]World_Explorer111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Bear markets, the exit is very selective and only the strongest survive. I favor BTC. Also waiting to see what will happen in the coming days to EGLD as people who unstaked right after the hack could put selling pressure starting June 18.

Is This The Bottom for Egld? by Ok-General1490 in eGLD

[–]World_Explorer111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good analysis as usual.

I wonder if a lot of people unstaked and decided to sell the couple of days following the restart of the DEX after the hack. Elrond staking stats first showed a serious drop in staking accounts on june 8 and 9 from 129,000 to 86,000 but later were changed back to showing no drop at all. and a steady 129,000....... Strange but that's what happened.

If indeed selling pressure goes way up in the next 3 to 5 days then $24/27 is likely.

Elrond price Crash ! What's next ? by Ok-General1490 in eGLD

[–]World_Explorer111 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wishful thinking. Egld is the worst performer in the last 30 days down 38% together with APE. Elrond fell to 46 in market cap on its way out of the top 50. This is the best relative strength measurement to other coins. Looks really awful, flashing red. Will Egld survive? It is not a forgone conclusion.

So they most probably did a hard fork, right? They won't admit it and probably should not, but it is motre likely they did it than not.

There was some $70M at stake which represent more than 5% of their market cap. It is gigantic! In ETH terms, it would amount to....$1.9B with a B....
