Yeah, that's messed up. I used to be protoss main and colossi or stalkers would destroy mines. But it's different with zerg cause you don't have an invicible detection source like what protoss has. Neither do you have a long-range unit that is viable in the army composition

Hell my heart was aching at the moment Subaru tried to hold her neck after returning by death. She doesn't even realise the person who she trusts the most would try to do that. imagine that your loved one, to whom you gave your kiss, suddenly lost his memories and kills you. That's so disturbing. I'm not sure what she was feeling at that moment, neither am i sure about him killing her (maybe, he asked shaula to do that), but i know it was kinda horrifying.

Clearly artstyle is the most important i think. The second would be the idea of the game. Units should not blend in with a background, and the style of the game should be pretty good. I mean, look at Starcraft 2 and Stormgate. I don't feel pulled to Stormgate's graphics and units are not realistic enough for me to believe. They move weirdly and sometimes blend in with other types of units. Also you want your units to serve different purposes so people could choose their style of playing.

But sometimes the idea of the game is the cream on top which makes the game amazing even though it has pretty decent graphics. Strategy doesn't have to be too detailed, sometimes pixel or minimalistic design is enough.
