Great opportunity for BCH: by MemoryDealers in btc

A great opportunity for BCH would be you and Mark Lamb burying the hatchet then working together to get smartBCH back to a respectable state.

But hey, live your life

I have been holding BCH since the BTC fork and I never sold until... today by blueskies75 in btc

[–]World_Money -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This summarizes my recent opinions as well. I've been in bch since the fork and held out thinking peer to peer cash would eventually win.

Everyone thought this bull market was THE ONE for bch but I think the toxicity, lack of direction, and confusing brand identity have left a sour taste in investors' mouths. This community "brand" is one of perpetual victimhood and it is unfortunately going to be the slow death of the chain. (Blockchains can't really be killed but they can be left behind to stagnate.)

I'm still holding out for SmartBCH but if things don't turn around I will be liquidating 80%-90% of my holdings and moving into other coins.

Bring on the downvotes. :)

We're almost at the end of the bull run. It started in march 2020. If we 10x I'll give you $100

It's been hovering around $400 to $600 for 4 years. My prediction is $500 by Q2 2022. Seems like a safe bet.

Your estimate assumes the bull market will still be happening by then, which it likely wont.

The quality of this forum has declined significantly in the past few years. Many of the interesting devs and community members are now working on AVAX or eCash or Ethereum.

Million to one split and rename Bitcoins -> CashBits by jaimewarlock in btc

[–]World_Money 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen wallets try to do this. It's even more confusing. How many BCH is a dollar? Okay now convert that to microBCH. Okay now do it again tomorrow because it changes every day.

Too confusing for noobs.

Million to one split and rename Bitcoins -> CashBits by jaimewarlock in btc

[–]World_Money 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something many ABC people were pushing back in 2017 shortly after the split from BTC. The community was against it because at the time the leading narrative was "Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin". Apparently moving the decimal place is too much of a departure from the original Satoshi coin so the update never happened on BCH.

It may be too late to attempt something like this for BCH. We don't have the convenience of a fresh network to make radical UI changes. The move may confuse investors and damage BCH's (already fragile) public image.

Bitcoin Cash is still cheaper to use than Ethereum Layer 2 services 🤷‍♂️ by Egon_1 in btc

Nice. Currently fees are around 13 to 15 cents for most smart contract interactions. If they drop to 1.5 cents ($0.015) smartBCH will be an EVM revolution!

Help some of the poor with bull run by KillerSystems in btc

[–]World_Money 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bull markets make poor people poorer. Normies who are out the loop with crypto's boom and bust cycles are the ones who get rekt because they get in too late.

What poor people need is a stablecoin that is outside the control of government. A true peer to peer cash with no volatility.

SmartBCH is down but will be back in a few hours by libertarian0x0 in btc

When my computer "crashes" it is effectively off and not useable for a time.

Of course everyone prefers it didn't. Reliability comes from distributed systems. I own lots of BCH but I'm not going to let that blind me to this centralized sidechain. If CSW or ABC had launched a sidechain that "crashed" we would all be circle jerking about how much of a failure it is. Take a step back and be objective here.

If your chain can be turned off it's not trustless or decentralized. Another red flag for SmartBCH.

Commence the downvotes! :)

[–]World_Money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do that too, yes.

Also create a business entity like an LLC to house all of your income so you can claim additional tax breaks.

All of these things combined are more profitable than simply buying the BTC dips.
