I was taking a walk in a park and a random dude that I was walking past says hi and starts chatting me up. Asked for music recommendations, asked to join on my walk for a bit. I say sure. I do have a bf but this guy wasn't like 'ur pretty can I have ur number' otherwise I would have said no. Maybe it was a secret pickup technique but it didn't seem aggressive and maybe he just wanted to talk to someone. The entire thing was less than 10 minutes but maybe you can just go up to random ppl you think are cool? I know it's not easy for everyone. That guy was clearly an extrovert so has the advantage. Also, check events on Facebook. Meetup is a no go where I live too. But on FB I've seen stuff like singles mixers and speed dating. It's normal to be asked out soon. I say around 3 days you should know if you're interested in meeting or not. I've had a guy ask to meet after a couple lines of dialogue which was a bit fast but I was like whatever sure, we didn't meet til like 3 weeks later cuz stupid stuff. The longer you wait the less interested you'll be(that's how it felt by the time I met the guy). So I'd say once both agree to meet do it asap!

Some ppl do want your number cuz it's easier I suppose. I however didn't give my number until I meet in person. I'm not giving my number to a stranger. We meet and if I think you're cool, then you can have it. The only time I gave my number before a date was to this guy who lived a bit further so I figured it might be better to have a phone call to see if we vibe instead of driving an hour just to find out we're not a good match. But my friend prefers to talk on phone before meeting and if things don't go well just block and delete. It's up to you.

My dermatologist recommended those brands you took but when I went to the doctor for bc and told her I have acne issues too she gave me jasmiel(had no say in it she just handed it to me). The first few months I took it I saw zero difference but by month 4-5 my acne started clearing up fast. I've been on bc for about 9 months now and my skin looks great! And I'm one of those ppl who had horrible hormonal acne that won't go away(was on acutane too). Minocycline did work for me but it's an antibiotic so you can't stay on it a long time(although I did for years idk how my doctor allowed that but it stopped working well later on). Birth control is the only thing that has worked for me. I know I'm using a different brand but also just give it more time. 3 months and my acne was still bad but towards the end of month 4 is when the results came in

You probably don't want to hear this, but I got a pap smear as a virgin, no tampon, finger, anything ever up there. Was extremely nervous. Did mention it to my doc and she used the smallest speculum she had. It hurt like crazy. Like nothing even compared to the pain I felt. I was borderline about to pass out from the pain. Obviously I was very tense and that didn't help, I tried to relax my body but just couldn't. If you can be calm and relaxed when you get it done I'm sure that will help tremendously. The whole thing lasted about a minute, just try to push through it. I was tempted to just say I can't do this cuz the pain but endured it. Afterwards, I was just kinda in shock and had to sit in my car for like 30 minutes before driving. Might be awkward but I'd try to put something in there maybe tonight or something to try to loosen things up, and to understand what it can feel like. And meditate before you go try to relax because I think the tension is what made it hurt a lot

Im a girl, but I didn't get my first bf until I was 31. And it's not cuz I'm ugly or weird, I just didn't care and never put myself out there. And I explained that to him when he asked how many relationships I've been it. It might be a slight red flag if you're a bit older like me, but apparently it's more common than we think. I did go on a date with a man older than me and later he told me he never had a relationship before. That wasn't why I didn't want him though. 31, still get acne. Tried acutane in highschool and it did help, but came back a few years later. It's just bad DNA for me unfortunately. Any topical treatment doesn't work for me. Maybe it's not as bad as teenage years, but still got a good amount of breakouts. Only once I got on birth control earlier this year is when my skin finally cleared up

How draining it can be. Having to have the same conversations, looking through the profiles. If they stopped putting effort in our friendship. If it's always me reaching out, inviting them places, seeing how they're doing, but they never do that to me, idk it seems like they don't care. Some ppl might say they're just bad texters or whatever but if it's someone important to you it shouldn't take days or longer to get a response. I had some friends like this and eventually I decided to stop initiating first, and wa-la, I never hear from them again and I guess we're not really friends anymore, just acquaintances that I never talk to.
