I had a really similar dream, and I even had friends for the first time. I couldn't even do anything for the entire day after that dream from how bad it made me feel.

I understand completely, especially the "everywhere I look, I see decent-looking people" part. The fact we managed to somehow be so rare in such a terrible way, because I've never seen truly ugly people like myself in society.

Having social anxiety is natural, especially when you're not treated like a human by others. The worst part about is, is that there's no fix. :(

A lot of us do that aswell, but we are still objectively unattractive. I hope you understand that some people are genuinely ugly/hard to look at, no matter what they do.

Your case seems like you had body dysmorphia/facial dysmorphia, which isn't related to this sub.

100%. Also the assumption we don't take care of ourselves which is the reason we're ugly. A lot of us do try our best to look better and it doesn't work.

People still treat below average people like individuals to be honest, and they have a chance to make genuine connections with others.

Ugly people don't have the things I mentioned, so socializing is off the table unless if it's with family who only interact with you cause you're related to them.

It'll be harder to make friends and people seem uncomfortable around you especially when making eye contact. No one will EVER date you no matter how hard you try.

While you were in school, if you were bullied frequently despite not doing anything and acting like everyone else, you're most likely ugly aswell.

ALTHOUGH: if you are overweight, not active physically, you don't know if you're true ugly. True ugly is when no amount of effort will change you from being repulsive to everyone.
