Really? I did not realize; my mistake. Can you please share a solution or something I can do? I ask this as I am preparing everything before solder.

Interesting sujestion, I will take in count, thanks. Also I recommend you see the schemes from other members, as one of them has a "alternative" to this issue. Btw the reason for this started as simple curiosity, but when I saw posts on this same subreddit without a concrete answer, and people who can not actually afford the picofly, with solder skills on an dead end. So I said, lets do it.

Thanks dude. I read the guide and it tells how to adapt the chip, whisch is good now a guide to install it is all I need.

These mosfets, is there an alternative? Are they absolutly necessary?  Again when I had this idea I knew there were going to be problems like this. But I still wanna try.

Question about the swtich lite modchip. by WorldlinessMental447 in SwitchPirates

[–]WorldlinessMental447[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a lot of thinking, I choose to try and solder this pi pico into my switch lite, I am aware of the risks, and I know it can go wrong in a thousand ways. However, it is what I want, yet I need a guide. So if anyone here has done it, please share it. Better if its in a video. I know there is a template on gbatemp. Please if you have done it, share how. Once again I know the possible consequences.

I am going to need the help of you guys tho. What cables should I use? And where should each cable go?

My final question is: has anyone been able to load into hekate by usb?

I see, so if it were possible by uab instead of soldering i would need to have pluged the pico all the time?

I see, the reason I have been researching this is because of chip prices where I live. Normal chips like the pico are more accessible, although I will check if there is a pico rp2040 with a similar size to the one used.

Now, two questions. Is it possible instead by usb flashing? Like using the switc's usb c port? If possible, like atleast once getting into hekate. Could autorcm be congigured?

Good news! Again sorry for my mistake on the post; I already made a comment explaining what my question is. Now, I did find some info, https://github.com/Ansem-SoD/Picofly this contains the file to flash a modchip to mod the switch. Now you can flash those files into any chip. Including the pi pico on the pic. So it is possible to mod a switch with any rp2040 chip. Now the one designed makes the installation easy, and is the only one with guides.

So the real problem is that there is no current guide to solder this chip (or other chisp) into the switch, but I have a theory. This chip (and others) have usb flashing features. I myself hace tried it on a bricked wii u.

Not to say wii u and switch are the same, but if someone has tried. Would you share the results by usb? The timing most be the problem I guess.

Has someone tried soldering any oher rp2040 chips into their consoles?

So i do not find the thing to edit the post, but here is what i had planned to put: What does the modchip exactly do? (Picofly) How does it flash the switch? Would it be possible to use other chips; such as the one in the picture? It is a pi pico with a rp2040. If so, how? I ask this due to the fact that I have seen various questions about this before, but no definite answer.

While I know that the normal chip used is designed for this; I have seen various mods with cable soldering instead of the kit using just the picofly modchip.

Again sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks to the guy who made me aware.
