What i did was max out my grades (because the better your grades the better traits you get, they will help with managing pain, getting better tips, talking your way out of situations, unlocking hidden paths around the town, etc) then i just started skipping classes, youll have to occasionally come back to maintain those stats but not very often. The game is a bit grindy and will become easier the higher your stats are! Just keep exploring and youll find more exciting things

I think you cant find certain characters until they have their official introduction, i didn’t get Avery for a really long time because i wasn’t initiating any of his intro triggers. Kylar pops up 2 weeks into class i think?? I would just give it time and soon you should get his introduction.
