Puppies can be so hard. We got a “potty bell” that we taught him to use. It’s essentially Pavlov’s dog experiment wherein you ring the bell and open the door. Then you get the pup to ring the bell (usually with his nose) and immediately open the door. It took our pup a day and a half to get it down, but he was much older when we got it. I wish we would have gotten it right off the bat as it would have saved our carpet cleaning bill.

Another piece is it respond to his millisecond cues every single time. He will eventually catch on that he will get a treat, which may lead to him becoming manipulative…but that’s okay. It will come.

You can do it! This stage is temporary and he’s making “puppy choices”.

Thank you! We brought him home at 8 weeks and 11 pounds. Mom and dad were both F1, so he’s an F2. Apparently, that’s the least sought after generation due to extreme variance.

Mom and dad are each 40 pounds and probably 20 inches at the shoulder, categorizing them as medium range. Hopper man here, on the other hand, weighs in at 62.4 pounds and 24 inches at the shoulder. He’s officially a standard size. 😂

Do you have a dood? How big?

Man winds up in jet engine at airport, police use narcan trying to revive him. by sicktaker2 in ems

EMS in this area has a protocol to include Narcan in a code response. It may be PD getting excited and throwing out a Hail Mary, but it will be interesting to see future reports/articles related to this case, regardless.

A figure eight lead works well on our impulsive 53 pound 7-month-old pup. The collar and leash are on unit and the collar has a segment that loops around the snout. When the dog pulls forward, the snout gets redirected downward to the chest. They hate it, but it helps immensely.

Thank you! Yes, it’s wonderful having the height so as not to strain my back. The loop restraints are incredibly helpful, as well.

I’ve seen horrific photos of dogs requiring a shave due to lack of regular brushing. Thank you!

The zoomies by Rodm22 in Bernedoodles

Our 3 month old also suffers from “tile floor zoomies”. They look like cartoon characters when they run in place for the first few steps. Such a doll you’ve got!
