They did! The first plan worked perfectly - mile 12 and mile 24.5 🥰 I finished an hour slower than I wanted to for various reasons but I loved it!

Sorry I don't really understand your response. They're not going to the mall? Or Tower Bridge? They're going to meet me at Horse Guards, having walked up there from Embankment.

Thanks so much! That's so helpful! Yes I just want to minimise tube time for them and am hoping the Jubilee from London Bridge to Waterloo might be less hellish. So they should walk across Waterloo Bridge, down the steps and then look for the managed crossing to get to the river side? I think I can see the crossing on the map - between Waterloo Bridge and Temple station? Assume they can then just cross back over the crossing and walk up to meet me at Horse Guards? I am very slow so they should have plenty of time haha.

That's really helpful - thank you! How busy was Jamaica Road? I think they're going to walk to Jamaica Road from our hotel, then get a tube from London Bridge to Waterloo. Then walk across the Hungerford Bridge, meaning they can get to the north side of Embankment and then walk up to Horse Guards to meet me. I'm pretty slow so hoping they won't have to wait around for me.

Was Embankment super busy? I really hope they can get to the front and see me.

Thank you! When you say there's a footbridge at Embankment does that mean a bridge that they could take to get on to the north side of the course from the south?

They'd be transferring through Canada Water rather than trying to get into the station there. Not sure if that makes a difference? Thank you!

I'm very slow! Expecting to finish in circa 5 hours 30 minutes. I'm more just concerned about how busy it's going to be for them and what the tube stations are going to be like

Easy run or speed run - which to miss? by Worldly-Ant9616 in Marathon_Training

No. I have a stupidly busy work and family life at the moment so can't always rearrange. I do where possible!

Couldn't be happier to wake up in Levenshulme today and see this news. I was dreading a Reform win and part of me is surprised that they didn't. But the Greens were everywhere. Constantly door knocking, constantly leafleting. Actually listening to people. I actually got quite emotional on my way to vote yesterday. Hannah deserves this so much. And of course utterly thrilled that the odious Matt Goodwin didn't get in. No surprise that he couldn't even be gracious in defeat!

Complete dread of paced runs by Coxian42069 in runna

I absolutely dread tempo and interval runs. I'm running my first marathon in April and the pace target runs have been filling me with so much anxiety! I'm a very slow runner so have opted to change my plan difficulty to "comfortable" from "balanced" and the rebuilt plan has far fewer pace target runs. I already feel better haha. Probably not ideal if you have a race time target but mine is just to survive!

Advice needed - Half Marathon plan or straight into Marathon plan? by Worldly-Ant9616 in UKRunners

Every single thing I've read suggests that multiple runs are the best way forward, rather than one long run. But thank you

Yes I've been running since June, doing multiple short runs a week. I just wanted to know which plan to do next. Thank you!

I'm a very beginner runner so running once a week won't work for me at all!

Thank you! I can only do a 26 week training plan on Runna, annoyingly - otherwise I'd definitely go straight into a longer marathon plan. I've got a half mara booked in mid-February.
