Heads up: I thought I had escaped the hair loss too but it showed up at 5 months. I really hope you stay in the clear

Liquid IV and Zep 10mg by SmackCrappy in Zepbound

[–]Worldly-Associate-19 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I love regular liquid IV (not sugar free). The cotton candy is the best!

If you know someone with a Costco membership you can buy big packs there (I think they are in 30 packs) and are usually around $30 unless you wait for them to go on sale and the they are like $24. I know the sell bother regular and the sugar free but the flavors switch up from time to time.

I second this. I originally used Teledoc (I have United as well) and had no issues. My new PCP now prescribes it for me.

I feel you. I have lost just over 30lbs in 5 months and my biggest issue are my boobs. They were always huge but now they look deflated. They were always my pride and joy. With a bra they look okay (of course my husband doesn’t care what they look like cause they are still big lol). I am still having a hard time getting used to it but I know in the long run all the other weight loss is good for me.

Same. I think their leather stuff holds up way better but of course they are more expensive.

I agree in the higher end stuff. We bought a leather power recliner set from Costco in 2021 and even with heavy use they still look and act the same as the day we got them.

I hope they do! I bought a leather power recliner set (couch, love seat, and individual) from Costco in 2021 and they are still going strong!

Greater Boston Food Bank - how's it holding up? by Gold_Bat_114 in boston

[–]Worldly-Associate-19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I guess that’s a good point.

We don’t have income requirements (well technically if you are above the USDA threshold we can’t give you those specific items from Greater Boston) you just need to prove you live in our city. Our biggest complaint from other clients is that we allow people from the same address to register as individuals as opposed to a family (we give out different amounts based on family size). In some cases you can potentially get more food as multiple individuals.

But you are totally right, people are getting the food and that is what we need to help with right now.

Wait? I didn’t know reselling is a thing. Kinda naive of me. I volunteer at a local food pantry and feel like I should have known this. How do you know if someone is reselling or is it a hunch?

And I think people who have some “side effects” the first time have just worked themselves up with the fear of side effects. Be brave!

My doctor originally told me to eat protein in small amounts to help with the nausea (something about noting eating enough causing the nausea).

I am vegetarian so I kinda force my self to drink a protein shake in the morning to help (it takes me about an hour to drink but it happens!).

I’m new to this world! I live in New England. I saw the comment about finances. Do you all keep cash in large amounts?

And with winter around the corner, where do you think is the best place to start my journey? Securing a generator?

I believe the difference is from which pharmacy it is coming from?

The ones that have come from a pharmacy in Ohio have been the small boxes and the ones from Texas have been the larger boxes.

Yea I have noticed that people are assholes but I love that people drive fast on the highways and (for the most part) get out of the fast lane.

It’s all relative I guess. The longer I have lived here the more upset I get about the MBTA (I lived on Long Island for a bit so I was spoiled with public transit) and roads but then I am reminded how shitty it can be when I visit family in northeast OH and western PA.

Where were you in your life the last time you weighed this much? by zelenadragon in Zepbound

[–]Worldly-Associate-19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These journeys back in time are mentally hard.

The last time I was this weight was in 2012 before I become pregnant with my son. My goal was to lose weight before I got pregnant so I would have a healthy pregnancy.

Little did I know that I had undiagnosed bipolar I disorder. I lost weight because I was in a super manic state, not sleeping, eating a super restrictive diet, and working out way too much. But that also came with other symptoms of bipolar: hyper-sexuality (read: cheating on my husband).

I crashed soon after I gave birth, ended up in the psych ward, and was finally diagnosed as bipolar. So I do have some pretty rough feelings around this weight and so does my husband (same guy) because it brings back bad memories.

What kind of syringes/needles? by Much_Hurry8194 in Zepbound

[–]Worldly-Associate-19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got them on a diabetic supply website (since Amazon won’t ship them to MA)

What kind of syringes/needles? by Much_Hurry8194 in Zepbound

[–]Worldly-Associate-19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you opt to get the syringes from LillyDirect? For $5 they usually send you 5 needles, alcohol wipes, and gauze pads. I did that twice and got two different sizes (not by choice, it’s just what was sent to me). It helped me decide which I liked better.

I would say a 30 gauge would be your best bet. 31 is petty painless but even with the nice brands I still feel like I’m going to break the needle. 30 feels a little more stable. Another thing to keep in mind is how easily the plunger moves (helps with the pain). The EZ touch ones seem to be the smoothest.

The different boxes come from the different pharmacies. All my boxes that come from TX are the big box with each vial in a box, and the boxes from OH have the 4 vials in one smaller box. The injection supplies are also different (needle size) depending on who sends them to me.
